Does this unit run solely on the battery, or is there an option to use external power supply?

If so, is it 220V compatible?

It comes with a little plug in power supply/charger (12V/2000mA) to charge the battery and run it on. My charger is rated 100V - 240V. You'd need a converter plug for wherever you go, the charger is US 2 prong outlet type.

Does anyone know if this projector will play a Powerpoint presentation directly off the USB or if you have to be connected to a computer/tablet?

No, it will not directly play a powerpoint presentation - you will need to connect to a computer, or do an awkward thing like save each powerpoint slide as a jpg and scroll through the jpg images.

What is the throw ratio for this projector?

The "natural" aspect ratio is 16:9. At the distance I'm viewing, I measured it at about 72inches by 40inches, plus or minus half an inch.

what are the dimensions of the device?

Its about 2 inches tall 6 inches wide and 3 inches long.

Question 5

Can someone double-check the brightness spec?  This page says 95 lumens, but all other ones I find for this model say 125 lumens (including the manufacturer's page).

I have not measured the lumens, but i have put up a perfectly good impromtu slide show during someone elses presentation from about 15 feet away in a partially lit classroom. It fits the need great. Exactly what i needed, which makes it a great value.

Is it possible to hook up to a blue tooth sound unit or to plug speakers into for better sound quality?

No Bluetooth but you can plug in speakers I would suggest a set of speakers with there own power source and amp, because the one in the projector isn't very good
