will this work with Samsung note 2 phone?

It works fine with my Note 2.  I am using the iBolt Dock and Drive app to play all my audio over the car audio system, Sirus, podcasts, nav, etc.  I have had issues with it working its way out of the accessory socket and breaking the electrical connection ( four sockets in my car) when I hit bumps.  I have filed the expansion clips today to see if that will make it less smooth.  It reconnects on blue-tooth fine when I reinsert it.  I am using it over the FM signal.

So, just to confirm, this will stream music from my galaxy s4 through bluetooth, correct? My phone will only need to be plugged in when I want to charge the phone, right?

Yes. After you connect it the first time, it should automatically connect when you turn your car on. It will beep over your stereo speakers when it connects. I have a different phone but, in my case, as long as my player is only paused I can just hit play on the GoGroove after it connects. My phone never has to leave my pocket. Then the GoGroove will pause it when you turn off the car. If you're looking for a car FM transmitter for your phone, this is definitely the one you want.

Will this work for an iPhone 5s? Will it work for an older apple nano iPod (about 5 years old)?

Works perfect with iPhone 5s through Bluetooth. Bluetooth setup is so easy too! I'm not sure about the nano via Bluetooth but as long as it's got a headphone jack on it, this device can also connect through that too. It comes with a cheap cord for headphone jacks but works and you can always buy a better, longer one to use.

Does anyone know if this will stream music from my Verizon Samsung Stratosphere?I saw a fleabay for one of these that said it would,but I've bought 2 other brands that would BT the phone,but not music for some reason,and I want to make sure before I sink another 50 bucks,when I need 2?Thanks!

If it has Bluetooth, it will work. As for your prior problems, I suspect an issue with the earphone jack. Try Sound-hound, it can resolve most of these issues.

Having said all that, this unit while flexible is not the greatest on FM. It is perfect with the solid output connection and indeed the best I've ever seen. But even with that, on FM, it can sound garbled when played loudly.

I recommend you use an app to find the best frequency to tune it too in your area. XM Radio website has a good one, and there are several android apps that will do the same thing on your phone. It REALLY helps the sound compared to letting it search on its own.

The USB charging port is excellent and can charge any phone quickly.

No, it connects your phone or device with Bluetooth.  It to your car's stereo through FM radio.

The aux works with any phone that has a jack, and its not flawless... you will hear interference more than you'd like to. I found I was changing the station quite often. As far as the Bluetooth goes, I have not tried that with the phone, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I had a Galaxy S4 when I bought this, I'm also had the S5 and now I have the S6 (which was brief, I ended up replacing the stereo in my car, I don't think this solution is functional long term).

My gogroove works fine with IPHONE5 but Samsung can't find it???

Try to connect using Bluetooth and not the USB cable. I have a S3 and it works well with the Bluetooth but not with the cable.

I would like some  honest opinions about the quality of hands free phone calls.?  Thanks

The quality, as you'd probably expect, isn't as good as using the phone's built-in earpiece, or using a Bluetooth hands-free earpiece.  That being said, I've made many calls with the FlexSMART in my Ford Ranger (which isn't exactly the quietest vehicle on the road) without anyone complaining that I was difficult to understand.

Based on the questions answered on the newegg website, the FlexSmart mini works well with Samsung S3 & S4 phones.  Does it also work well with the S5?  I would assume so, but you know what happens when you assume.

It seems to work well with my S6, so I would assume it works with the S5. My friend's S5 seemed fine with it. Best radio transmitter I've used yet, although the microphone isn't the best for phone calls being that it would be on your dash with the transmitter.

Can you use a micro SD card or USB stick to play music, or is the USB port made only to charge other devices?

The usb is a power source only.  audio is  bluetooth or audio cable only (headphone jack).
