Recommended For

• Students using ChromeOS for web-based schoolwork who want one device for typing, touch-based activities, and handwritten notes; the Spin 512 is a 360-degree convertible, and this listing includes an active stylus.
• Schools and IT teams deploying student Chromebooks that need a convertible design with education-focused durability features, such as reinforced hinges, a spill-resistant keyboard, and repairable components.
• Teachers and students who regularly switch between laptop and tablet-style use for presenting, annotating, or interacting with touch-based lessons on a compact 12.2-inch screen.
• People whose daily work is mainly browser-based—such as documents, web research, email, and video calls—and who want a small convertible Chromebook rather than a Windows or macOS laptop.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• For schoolwork such as online lessons, browser research, and writing documents, students can use it as a compact Chromebook; its keyboard suits typing, while the touchscreen supports direct interaction with learning apps.
• When taking class notes or marking up digital worksheets, students can use the included stylus on the touchscreen, then switch back to the keyboard for longer written assignments.
• For a school project that involves photographing a worksheet, object, or classroom demonstration, the world-facing camera can capture the subject for use in a digital assignment or presentation.
• For remote classes or everyday video calls, users can join from the built-in webcam and microphones without needing a separate camera or headset for basic participation.
• When reading, reviewing reference material, or showing content to a nearby classmate, users can fold the convertible into a touchscreen-first setup instead of keeping it in a conventional laptop position.
