The Acer Chromebook Plus 514 is a 14-inch touchscreen Chromebook with an Intel Core 7 150U processor, 16GB of memory, and a 256GB SSD, suited to ChromeOS users who want capable performance for everyday work, study, and multitasking.
Recommended For
- Students and mobile workers whose day centers on Chrome, Google Workspace, web research, and video calls; the 14-inch touchscreen and ChromeOS fit a browser-first routine.
- People who keep many browser tabs and Workspace apps open at once; this configuration has 16GB of memory, and a review of the 2025 Chromebook Plus 514 found the family handled a dozen tabs and multiple Workspace apps smoothly.
- Remote workers and students who regularly join video meetings; Acer lists a 1440p webcam for this Chromebook Plus 514 configuration.
- People who use a laptop at a desk or classroom station with external displays and wired accessories; Acer lists HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C ports on this model family.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- For school research or office work, keep several browser tabs and web apps open while switching between documents, email, and spreadsheets; reviews of the Chromebook Plus 514 found this kind of everyday multitasking responsive.
- For remote classes or work meetings, use the built-in camera and microphones for video calls, then switch back to browser-based coursework or collaboration tools; Acer positions this Chromebook family for students and remote workers.
- When reading, browsing, or reviewing documents, tap and scroll directly on the touchscreen for quick navigation; it remains a laptop-style device rather than a fold-back tablet.
- For breaks or background viewing, stream shows or online video on the 14-inch display; a review of another Chromebook Plus 514 configuration reported smooth 4K streaming, though results can vary by configuration and network.
- At a desk, connect compatible USB accessories or an external display for a more fixed workstation setup; the listed USB-C port supports DisplayPort video output.
