Question 1

I was wondering about the projector and switching sources.. Is it quick at switching sources?? I need a Proj. that can handle source switching for presentations and conferences..

It does do well at switching sources quickly. The projector does has an auto cycle input feature. If it loses connection to an input source  it will automatically cycle through its input options until a signal is found,  which can be annoying, but that's the only issue I've ever had .  It does have dedicated buttons for each source on the remote which is useful, so you could pop back and forth between inputs in a second and overall the picture quality and brightness has been better than expected. I'd recommend it for what you are looking for.

Its new. Comes very nicely wrapped in bubble wrap, plastic and a black carrying case bag.

CD and paper manual, remote, batteries, power cord and a single VGA cable are included.

Can it be mounted on the roof of an office?

Well its not water proof so if you mean outside then no. If you mean inside, it can be flipped upside down and mounted to the roof/ceiling

how do I play a DVD with projector?

You connect a DVD player or of to it. The projector works just like a tv. Plug whatever you want into my t and it will display. From memory there is an hdmi, vga, Rwy and aux port so it supports most of the devices a tv would.

What is the max size on picture can you can get ?

Would this unit work well in a room that would holds about 230

people? What type of ceiling mounting bracket would work well

with this unit?  Can you advise where to get wires/cables to

provide access to people who want to connect their computer?

I've never measured the max size, but 10 feet tall is an easy guess and however wide that would make a letterbox movie. I love ours, the picture is sharp, easy to see and it's easy to use.

Not sure what size of a room that would be or how big you'd need the screen, but my gut answer is yes. I don't have mine mounted permanently, I don't know anything about a ceiling mount.

I use a laptop with mine all the time, the laptop has an hdmi outlet and the projector an hdmi inlet. It's that easy. I use a 3.5mm audio cable from the projector to a stereo.

I need a portable projector to be able to show live webinars to our staff?

It will meet that requirement. It's not heavy. Has a built in speaker, although it's not great. It is easy to plug pc speakers into. I have used it to show neighborhood movies outside with little effort.

Also Can I play 3D Movies through my 3D Bluray player?

The model I received was new, as expected. I have played 3D movies through my bluray player and PS3. I bought 5 pairs of the SainSonic active shutter 3D glasses and they work fine.

It says this uses a 190 watt osram lamp. Is the lamp user-replacable at an affordable price?

It'll cost you b/w 110 - 130 USD. a bit high compared to teh cost of Projector itself. Howeverm under normal user, a lamp should last 3-4 years
