Can you hook up direct tv through this projector to display on a screen?

Other than its large size I really like this projector.....and yes I have it plugged in to my direct tv receiver with the 3 composite cables and then selecting the composite input from the Acer menu. If that sounds difficult, its not.

Also at the same time and accesed individually (one at a time) I have it plugged in to my laptop with the HDMI port, My cell (Droid) with the USB port. Ive never been able to access My network hard drive on the LAN port but mostly because of lack of desire to do so. Its very versatile and robust. and I highly recomend it for any one setting up a home theater.

Can the remote for this projector be programmed to a universal remote?

Accepted Answer

Verified the above model can be programmed with a Logitech Harmony remote. With other basic universal remotes you would most likely not find a proper code for this projector.  If the universal remote you own/plan to own is a learning universal remote then it should work fine.
