Silly question, but does the destination TV need to support wireless reception? Or does this product attache a wireless device to the TV to do that?

You do not need wireless on the TV as this kit has a transmitter unit and a and receiver unit that uses 802.11 5GHz wireless channel. The signal runs between the transmitter and receiver. You may have interference from other wireless devices in the area, but the device auto channels so that is normally not an issue.

Question 2

I notice no mention of using for HDMI transmission from a desktop PC with HDMI ports on video cards. Will this kit work from a PC?

It should work fine. I currently have this set up with a Dell laptop and it outputs to an LG Wide Screen TV. After everything is plugged in, all you should have to do is activate the external monitor on the PC. If it's a laptop, it's usually a Function Key combination. For a desktop, it should be the same process as activating a 2nd external monitor.

Question 3

What is the max range between the 2 devices?

The manufacture says the streaming range is 100 feet but this is dependent on transmission/receiving between floors, as well as other wireless interference. I presently send from one end of my 2500 sq ft home to the other, from the upstairs to the downstairs, with no quality loss.

I bought this kit exactly because ActionTec's promotional literature states:
"Wirelessly connect up to four HDTVs without sacrificing picture or sound quality"
and...
"At home: Install HDTVs in multiple rooms and extend your HD signal from your cable or satellite set top box without the hassle of extra cables, the need to run and camouflage wires, or the expense and help of a technician. With its ability to mount and connect HDTVs throughout a residence, MyWirelessTV2 is perfect for home theatre as it’s compatible with HD projectors and AVR systems."

That being said, the user manual doesn't specifically describe how to enable a second (or third or fouth) receiver. I was willing to go ahead an buy a second receiver and give it a try, but I've actually had trouble locating a second receiver to buy.

As far as the transmitter/receiver kit, it works exactly as described. One important point that I read elsewhere is that while following the very clear instructions on how to set up and handshake the transmitter and receiver, it takes a LONG time to make the handshake the first time. I had actually given up and was researching what could be wrong when it started working! So be patient when setting it up the first time.

The picture and sound are very clear on the receiving TV. One thing you have to do is turn the sound down low enough on one of the sets so you can't hear both at the same time. There is a slight lag in the audio that causes an echo effect if you can hear both at the same time.

I would guess as long as the camera has HDMI out, yes. I have never used it for that. It does seem to have some transmitting device "compatibility" issues so I would try one first.

Can I operate both tv chanalece with there remot controle ?

One tv will have the main box that will connect up -cable box to this product, and from this product to the main tv. The other product part will connect to the tv that requires the wireless feature. What is on the Main TV will be mirrored to the wireless TV.....so if you change the channel at the main TV, the wireless TV will show that same channel, or the guide, or the info ect. It is a Mirror image from the main TV. Using the RF sensors  will allow you to be far and still change the main TV's channels. so to recap, whatever the main tv is showing the wireless one will show the same.

I have a security camera system that records to a DVR that has HDMI ports that is located in my office can I use this to cast to a TV located in my living room?

It will transmit any HDMI signal output to the receiver that connects to a remote location. So the answer is yes

I see that there is a usb on the front of both the receiver and transmitter. does it also allow for wireless usb transmission? I would want to hook a keyboard up to it if it supports that.

The usb is used to update the firmware.  I do not think that you can used it to communicate to it.  When you plug in the usb flash drive you have to push the menu button on the front while it is hooked to a TV you will see a menu and can update it.  This also did not work more than about 40 ft thru 3 walls wireless.  I returned it.  It works great at shorter distances.
