Can I connect this device to a projector that is VGA only?

No, this unit is HDMI output only ... there are some other models like the Belkin ScreenCast but I don't believe that those have VGA output either, only component and HDMI.

Is this product compatible with a computer monitor instead of a TV?

This should work with monitors as well as TVs.  I haven't tested with a standard computer monitor but have used it with a large format display that is not a "TV" per se.

Question 3

Does this device allow me to view what is on my desk top when I am not browsing or watching movies over the internet?  Can I view on my HDTV open files or typed words on Microsoft Office? Does this device have the same viewing capabilities as my HDMI cable. Is it 100% compatible to my current HDMI cable?

I have one, have used it some but not a great deal.  Here's what I know vs. don't know.

1.  It shows whatever is on your computer screen on the TV... it doesn't know or care what that is, it shows it... video, desktop, whatever.

2.  I've not *yet* been able to get laptop audio to the TV... but I haven't messed around with it thoroughly either... have read a wee bit about some people having this problem while other people don't, but I have not yet tried the work-arounds.  I expect this is solvable but I just haven't done enough to really know.

3. Not sure how this device might be better than the Chromecast thingee.  I got mine before Chromecast was out.  Am not sorry I did, but if I was doing it now, I'd be sure that this does something I need that Chromecast doesn't do... especially since problem-solving for Chromecast will likely move faster and better...

I believe it is compatible with any tv that has an hdmi input.

Does this product work on AMD FX 4300 processor?

I don't believe the processor is important to the operation of the Screenbeam other than speed.
