Does this work okay as far as backwards compatibility with 3GB/s systems? Should I expect far worse read/write performance?

I installed one in a 10 year old MacBook Pro with 3GB/sec system bus. I/O speed and boot times are improved relative to the original mechanical hard drive, but the full 6GB read/write speed is, of course, not attainable. The system can be no faster than its slowest component.

Do these have built in TRIM. I found when I set them up in a raid configuration, windows couldn't trim them?.

I am using this SSD as my boot/OS drive. When I query the Operating System (Windows 7), it reports back that TRIM was automatically installed and is active.
