When I use the tracking pad to scroll down a page, there is a squeaking noise. How do I turn the sound off?

I let windows 7 load it's own driver for the touchpad, I did not use the software it recommended for download.  My customer that is using this is a partial paraplegic with limited use of hands and this pad worked great just by plugging it in.  Otherwise go to control panel, look for mouse/input devices and see if there are any settings for audio or under accessibility something got turned on.  I have never heard of any mouse scrolling feature making noise other than sound cards picking up interference.
