Does this mouse work for women with small hands? If not, can you suggest a reasonable priced vertical mouse that does?

I am a 6 foot 235lb guy with large hands.  This right handed machine is made perfect for me.  It feels like I am shaking hands with another big guy when I grab it.  There is nothing small-ish about this mouse.  The mouse stands 3" tall so when you return your mouse hand (right hand) to the keyboard you need to remember to elevate your hand up instead of parallel to the the desktop top like before with low-profile mice.  If previously you enjoyed having a pointer cursor "only" in Excel 2013 then that is going to change with this mouse which seems to communicate more dynamically with Microsoft... when over Excel cells you will see the white hard-to-spot plus sign as your cursor.  Now that I have been using this new mouse for 3 weeks, I can't go back to the old-fashioned one anymore.  My wrist feels so much better.
