Can you fit a mouse too?

Yes. I put both a keyboard and mouse on it. Specifically, I have a Logitech K350 2.4GHz Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard and Rosewill Memory Foam Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest. A bit of the mouse pad goes under the keyboard to get it at the angle I want.

How wide are the clamps apart on the inside? I have a desk that is glass and wood and the wooden part is 26" apart so clamps would need to be further apart than that.

they have the freedom to rotate a little bit, but the way I have it set up, the clamps are 28 inches apart
