This is not a gaming cpu and is not optimized for gaming, it's designed for advanced home workstations and companies working on rendering/development/ai uses and research and in servers.  But yes, you can use it to play games like any other CPU.

You want high clock speed and lower core count for gaming as it's easier to cool less dense cores and they can run faster per core.  Games typically won't use more than 8 cores at a time so the other 56 core are completely useless for most games.  The best CPU for games is probably the intel i 9900 k which will run you "only" around $500.
