Does this CPU come with a heat sink or fan? Or if it comes with one, is it sufficient to keep it cool in a good case with lots of fans? In other words, do I need to buy heat sink and fan in order to run these?

This is a OEM cpu, when you see OEM that means it's just a cpu and no cooler. Look for a retail box package if you want both the cpu and cooler together. With most server CPUs you only get the cpu and have to find aftermarket cooler to fit your requirements

What is the supported memory for this?

DDR3 is the supported memory... I'm running mushkin, ECC because it is a server. Mushkin 994137. I using a Supermicro SWTX 4 CPU MB. This is my home media server so figured it was okay to not use server memory and save a few bucks.

Nope, but the Dynatron A8 heatsink and fan work really well with this processor.
