Yes, I am using this CPU on an ASRock AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac board from several years ago and it has 8 GB of DDR4 2400 installed and running Windows 11 just fine. I also received the same Team T-Force Vulcan RAM that you referenced when I purchased the Ryzen 5 5600GT cpu, but I have not installed the RAM yet as it is working just fine with the DDR4 2400 RAM. One of these days I will install the T-Force RAM.

The "G" means integrated graphics and the "T"  likely means "Turbo" as the 5500GT and 5600GT have 200MHz higher boost clock than their G counterparts. The GT processors also have a lower launch price than the previous G chips, so you save some money as well as get slightly better performance

No.  You need an AM4 socket motherboard with at least a B450 chipset with BIOS update.  Some X370 and B350 motherboards will work with a BIOS update, but that's pushing it.  You would also need DDR4 for memory which the M5A78L would not have installed.
