Is this faster than the 7800X3D?

This CPU is an 8 core 16 thread like the 7800x3d, and it technically clocks higher, but only if you enable PBO. it's limited to 65 watts or so as it comes from the factory. Once you lift power limits with PBO jayz2cents youtube channel found it doubled the power consumption, (which some people don't care about but, it's using more power than the 7800x3d and not being any faster in gaming. It MIGHT be faster in some limited production workloads but, failing to deliver multicore performance compared to a 14700k, (altho intel has it's share of Quality control problems with 14th gen right now too.) TLDR - if you're gaming, just get the 7800x3d and upgrade to a faster AM5 CPU later down the line. Source - jayz2cents and myself, 7800x3d owner paired with 4090.
