Intel Core i7-12700K - Core i7 12th Gen Alder Lake 12-Core (8P+4E) 3.6 GHz LGA 1700 125W Intel UHD Graphics 770 Desktop Processor - BX8071512700K

Pros: Great performance, decent thermals I haven't had it configured long but in geek bench (not perfect I know) I got 1915 ST/14043 MT with stock settings and air cooling (Noctua NH-D15). I got these scores with DDR4, so the speed is great even without DDR5 which was a lot cheaper since I could use my existing RAM.

I ran a CPU stress test for a while and it maxed out at around 67-68 degrees Celsius.

Cons: Power usage is higher than AMD 5800X/5900X, but not dramatically so from what I have seen so far.

Overall Review: After reading reviews of the I9-12900k, this seems like a better choice to me regardless of price. I am seeing very little difference in single threaded benchmarks, and maybe 15-18% faster multi threaded performance on the I9-12900k. But that comes at the price of using a lot more power and hitting over 90 degrees Celsius in some cases on temperatures when stress testing. While I don't normally overclock my system, I bet you could likely hit those performance numbers with an overclock on the 12700K if you really wanted to.

Pros: None

Cons: No chip. Bad communication. Left with feeling of being scammed.

Overall Review: They sent me a drive for a pc build where this was the last component to receive. I ended up requesting a refund dont know if I got it. It I sure didnt get the chip and I sent the Blu-ray drive back.
