Need a fixed microphone mounting point without adding a floor stand or edge clamp? The KB48 podium microphone base creates a compact threaded connection for compatible goosenecks, mic clips, stand extensions, and other microphone accessories.

What threads does the KB48 provide? The center post has a 5/8-27 male exterior thread and a 3/8-16 female interior thread. Check both the thread size and thread gender of the accessory you plan to install.

Where can it be mounted? The 2-inch metal plate is designed for compatible flat surfaces such as desks, tables, lecterns, pulpits, podiums, walls, and ceilings. The three mounting points create a fixed screw-in installation rather than a removable clamp-on connection.

What does the bottom pad do? The 1.5 mm pad helps limit direct metal contact with the mounting surface and may reduce some vibration transferred through the plate. Avoid overtightening the screws, especially on laminated, painted, acrylic, or softer materials.

How should wall or ceiling installation be handled? Confirm that the mounting surface, anchors, screws, and complete attached equipment are appropriate for the intended orientation. The included screws may not be suitable for every surface material.
