Expected better from Antex 6/30/2012 12:40:06 PM

Pros: Efficient.

Cons: Crapped out after about 10 months. I was only drawing 300W.

3.5 Years and still going strong! 6/6/2012 10:35:30 AM

Pros: Very reliable! I just had another Antec power supply die on me, and thankfully I had this one in my HTPC running quietly, cool, and with no problems whatsoever. I also had another power supply (off brand) that is brand new around at work. The brand new power supply couldn't handle the motherboard specifications (it would come on and become unresponsive, I won't bore you with details), but when I put this power supply in, it worked like a charm just like it worked in the HTPC. I love it!

Cons: none

Should I be happy with 2yrs with little use? 11/22/2011 10:39:58 AM

Pros: When I got this, it was pretty easy to install and was as quiet as I had hoped. Decent price.

Cons: Used the media computer with this power supply relatively rarely, then the day I needed it for a party, turned it on and the bearings were going out and squealing like a banshee. I expected more life from this power supply.

Reliable, quiet power supply 1/22/2011 8:15:23 AM

Pros: Active PFC. 80-plus efficiency. Reliable. Quiet!

Cons: None

Overall Review: As I remember, the version of this product that I received has 4 SATA connectors instead of the 2 SATA connectors shown in the specs, which is a plus. It took me more than 2 years to start using this PSU (because of one of my cases -- there is nothing wrong with the PSU). It has been working perfectly and quietly 24/7 for 9 months since I installed it.

Works well, very quiet 11/1/2009 7:42:25 PM

Pros: I got this power supply with the Antec 4480 II case. Quietest actively cooled PSU I've owned. Clean voltages.

Cons: Only 380W, but it's 380 honest watts. 34A @ 12V (17+17) is more than you'll get from many cheaper PSUs whose power output is rated much higher than it.

Overall Review: Many of the negative reviews appears to result from the fact that this is an ATX v2.0 power supply. This (and all other ATX v2+ supplies) are not appropriate for pre-Pentium 4 era systems. It doesn't supply -5V and the power distribution among voltages is for modern builds.
