Antec 750W Full Modular Power Supply - EDG750

Silence Defined

Antec’s EDGE Series is the pinnacle of power supplies. EDGE is fully modular with a revolutionary 18 + 10-pin MBU socket for the needs of tomorrow. By using a PSU that is 80 PLUS® GOLD & ErP Lot 6: 2013 certified, operating at up to 92% efficiency, you can reduce your electricity bill by up to 20% when compared to many other power supplies. EDGE’s innovative 16-pin sockets create a new level of flexibility by doubling the modular connectivity, supporting two different 8-pin connectors and even future connectors of 10, 12, 14 or 16-pins.

All cables are darkened and also flat (except MBU cable) to become Flat Stealth Wires and are thus nearly invisible in your chassis. Two High Current Rails and a ~99% +12V output ratio maximize EDGE’s capabilities to power the latest CPU’s & GPU’s. CircuitShield™ makes EDGE safe and reliable in any environment with its 7 industrial-grade protections. Backed by a 5 year warranty and lifetime global 24/7 support, EDGE embodies everything a power supply can accomplish today.

Less Clutter, More Room, Better Cooling

The EDG750 is a fully modular PSU, this allows you to use only the cables you need, greatly simplifies installation, and helps clear out space. This can also improve your airflow because excess cables can obstruct and reduce airflow. With the addition of Flat Stealth Wires, all wires are darkened for minimal visibility in the chassis, making your rig that much cleaner. With a silent - whisper-quiet high-quality 135mm FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) fan with long lifetime.

Would be a good product if it would actually keep working 8/2/2017 1:14:22 PM

Pros: Modular setup is nice

Cons: Power supply didn't even last 2 years before quitting working, and because it is a warranty replacement Antec won't replace it.

Overall Review: I wouldn't recommend purchasing this as it seems that Antec Power supplies have been steadily decreasing in quality and now they don't even want to stand behind their product.

Here is my story. I purchased a TP750 from Antec 7 years ago, this one died within a few years, contacted support, they replaced it with a TP750 blue, this one died a couple years later, contacted support, they replaced it with an edge 750, and now almost 2 years later this one has also died, contacted support and they say SORRY you are now outside your warranty period on the original. So apparently Antec products are now disposable, funny that I have an old Earthwatts that is rock solid, but none of the new products from Antec seem to be worth a darn.

To add insult to injury, I tried calling them during their regular support hours and got transfered to voicemail instantly (that doesn't even have a message about being antec tech support, instead saying it was answered by via ...). Anyhow, so I wrote a support ticket, got a reply back from support saying that I was outside of warranty and to bugger off. So I called, got voicemail, found a different number and called a couple times until I finally got a human to talk to, and they said sorry there is nothing I can do for you.

Don't Buy Unless You Have ATX Case 12/1/2016 10:35:44 AM

Pros: Antec makes reliable PSUs

Cons: It's larger than most PSUs. Makes it nearly impossible to use in Mini-ATX and Micro ATX cases with most VCs. :(

Overall Review: I wouldn't buy again. Don't buy if you have a Mini-ATX and Micro ATX case.

Easy to set up 9/2/2016 3:47:18 PM

Pros: All the cords were plenty long enough to reach all my components and stay hidden behind the motherboard tray. Allows for a very clean looking build.

Cons: Cables were a bit stiff, but still very workable.

Overall Review: Have always purchased Antec power supplies in the past and will continue to do so on all future builds. Their quality I've found is always top notch!

DOA 9/2/2016 3:08:59 PM

Pros: None. DOA.

Cons: DOA. Lots of cable checking, reconnecting, put old Antec TruePower back in fine, EDG 750 back in still dead.

Overall Review: Antec EDG 650 working fine in another machine. There may be a reason for price reduction on this 750 model. TruePower Classic 750 works like a champ in a different machine, less cost. Not Antonline's fault.

ANTEC EDGE 750 Watt Fully Modular Power Supply - 80 Plus GOLD Certified 9/24/2015 4:50:50 PM

Pros: This is a great power supply. It is fully modular, so extra cords does not need to be used. Also comes with a little bag for those extra cords. The logo on the sides and the EDGE logo can be read either way you put the power supply in your case. Also there is an LED light around the fan, it is bright. Also the LED light can be turned off if you do not need it on. This product also come with 2 sets of rubber mounts, Red set of 2 and a Black set of 2. The extra can also go in the storage bag. It is a 750 Watt, so plenty of wattage to use with my system.

Cons: Some of the cons would be that the cords that came with this are a little stiff. They were hard to bend and get to the right area to tie down. But I did get them put right after a little movement. Also the LED light is white and that is the only color it comes in. I could only use one of the rubber mount, but its fine because it was the case that could not hold it.

Overall Review: I would recommend this if you want a red and black, a solid black, or if you just need a bright LED light, then this would be a good power supply. The PROs definitely outweigh the CONs on this power supply.

Quiet and reliable 5/20/2015 1:01:00 AM

Pros: Very quiet when it counts
Should be reliable and long lasting (we'll see)
Extra modular
5 year warranty
Flat, black cables
The white LED matches perfectly with the LED fans in my case.

Cons: Price (main reason for taking an egg off)
Rubber bands may not be necessary
Light switch is on the inside of the case

Overall Review: My case (Corsair Carbide 500R) came with rubber feet to dampen vibration/noise so I didn't need the rubber bands.

The modular nature of this unit is supposed to be future proof and prepared to accept some new cabling standard. I'm not a huge enthusiast so I really don't know what is expected to change, but I guess it's nice to know it's there if I need it. No need to worry.

My previous PC used an Antec Earthwatts PSU from 2009 or so and that thing is still running reliably today even after heavy use in gaming and staying on/not hibernated for days or weeks on end for years. I knew I wanted another Antec for my recent build because I've had good history of reliability with this brand. So far I am very satisfied with this unit.

Bottom line is that, although pricey, this PSU has been hassle free, quiet, powerful, and efficient for about six months now and should remain that way for years to come.
