I dont believe so, ive been using this stuff forever.  It is designed to never dry out. I had an fx8350 OC'd to 4.4ghz for 2 years with one application. Upon pulling off the cpu the compound was still wet and didnt show any signs of cracking or drying out

Is this 24k carat diamond powder or 7k carat sized particulate?  Does anyone know?  Given that there is a cheaper version of this compound available (Formula 6) I assume  that this one is 24k since it's price and rated higher.  It says on the package that the formula is proprietary and there is a double of diamond powder then in lesser compound but I was interested to know if that is the case as far as 24k carat rating goes because there is a 24k carat IC Diamond compound available for sale and it's rated as one of the best as well, in fact, better then this one.. although the difference in temperature is lauphable.

your over thinking/misunderstanding the K in the name. 24K on average has more thermal compound in the tube leading to the bigger price tag. where as the 7K has less in the tube and is cheeper. in either case the K does not denote the diamonde grade in the compound.
