Pros: Very simple to install hard drive. Everything pretty much snaps in to place. Bought it with a 500GB Seagate and when it fills up, I'll just swap it out with a new one.
Cons: Does get hot when transferring large files and AC adapter is a strange shape that sits sideways. Also would be nice if it had a firewire connection.
Overall Review: Very simple case and serves it's intended purpose.
Pros: Very inexpensive, top brand, compact, and very fast.
Cons: Overheats when run for relatively large groups of files. (more than about 100gb)
Overall Review: I've been running a WD5000AAJS SATA Hard Drive in it for almost two months. Runs great for copying and transferring small groups of files. I let it backup my my 300gb of data overnight, and it overheated, and killed the drive.
Pros: Very sturdy, aluminum design. Very classy looking. It works very well; very fast and reliable. Never had any communication problems
Cons: Poor airflow (obviously --- no fans).
Overall Review: I actually burned up two drives in it before I learned not to do 500 gigabyte backups without pulling the cover off. Without the cover, the drives stay cool enough.
Also, beware not to pinch the LED wire between the pieces of the housing while assembling it.
Pros: Ez and simple to install, Looks Nice, Works Great
Cons: Power brick is on the plug. Supplied power cord and usb cable are too short.
Overall Review: Those who have negatively reviewed it should rma it if it doesn't work as it should.

Pretty Good8/12/2008 9:06:01 PM
Pros: Works reliably and fast. Rubber nubs keep the hard drive vibrations from traveling through the desk into my hand-bones. Pretty tough construction. 100-240V power adapter means it'll work in all the countries I go to.
Cons: LED (which looks kinda like the Bat-Signal) is a little bright. I just covered it with a little butterfly sticker.
Overall Review: Like an Antec case and power supply I have, this is a good product. It even survived a drop without any damage to the hard drive inside (that I know of).

Pros: this external enclosure is great for any SATA 3.0 hard drive. i have had this thing for 6 months now and i have had no problems with it.
Cons: my only complaint is that the power cord's converter is on the actual plug it self to you have to put it on the end of a power strip if you are using one.
Overall Review: I dropped it very hard one time and i thought i had broken my hard drive but i had just nudged the sata connecter just out of back of the hard drive. It has a litttle heat coming off of it but not as much as the other enclosers i have used and is a little more compact than others i have bought. will buy again if i need another enclosure.
Great basic external enclousure.7/10/2008 11:35:31 AM
Pros: Very easy setup and ease of use. I bought this enclosure for my parents who are not very tech. savvy. I installed a 500gb Seagate drive in a flash. Heat does not seem to be a factor for casual use. All-in-all a great case with usb support.
Cons: No eSATA support.
Overall Review: Install is a snap. I wish they would include instructions on how to format the drive for use as an external drive. Not really a big deal, found the answer after a quick internet search, but it would be nice if it came with the case.
Pros: comparing the price to other enclosures that don't let you use as large of disks this one is great. its simple and basic to use. Wisper silent.
Cons: The documentation.
FireWire would be cool but that would drive up the price I'm sure
Overall Review: I've backed up 200G,copying and pasting the whole thing at once, using it. I used it on an old USB 1 conection. It took a couple days and did not have any problems. haven't tested the speed of USB2 for sizable files yet.
The documentation dosen't give any information about how large a drive can be used. I'm using it for 320G others I noticed said it will go up to a 1T
