*Update to Extremely Upset

Pros: The TP-750 was completely stable with very minor , unimportant fluctuations in voltages. It held steady hot and cold, stressed and idle. Worked long shifts on occasion before getting a power down without any problems. Mostly modular, especially where it counts. Came with a 5 year warranty. It's an ANTEC PSU!

Worry not about power fluctuations and rest assured you are getting a quality. clean delivery system to power your precious hardware.

Worried if the cables are long enough to reach in your full-sized tower? Don't! This was housed in one of the larger full towers on the market today in my build. And in many other micros up to full towers I've built for others.

The PSU, aside from the purple sticker, is aesthetically pleasing and the purple grows on you after a while. Not really. But, the chassis is extremely well done.

Aside from my one con, it's made from quality components and in most cases will still be ticking along in many towers for years to come. I expect it to hold value for a few years, so if you're buying a used one, you can feel reasonably safe.

The Antec Brand and reputation! This, the one area I didn't want to test out, has me elated. If this was another of the big companies, I might very well be delivering a completely different update. Speculation aside, I chose this particular PSU after much research online and personal, not only for longevity of the PSU itself but with the BACKING and promise of a company to stand behind it. Basically insurance. I spent a little more to get a little more.

ANTEC delivered!

I can firmly assert that ANTEC stands behind their product and their consumers! The RMA process was quick and pain-free and worth the shipping.

I have NO regrets. Mine is the only one that has failed in the dozen or so systems I placed one of these in. That's not bad.

Cons: Failed inside of 2 years. Pretty sure it was probably a cap. but uncertain as I didn't want to void the warranty to investigate further. (Don't void warranties, folks) (Don't blame companies when you knowingly VOID a warranty)

This problem isn't limited to only ANTEC. For those of you that know this PSU will also know that others with the same roots have also had some failures at this point. Big, Big brands....

Power supplies can take other components with it when it *pops*, locks, and drops it. Like the flu, some things shouldn't be so contagious.

Nothing is certain. Live on!

Overall Review: The TP-750 is manufactured by one of the best in the business. This is true. (I don't go into the secret sauce on NEWEGG, but if you look up this PSU, it's easy to learn who the builders are.) I also don't go into too many technical specs on retailers pages as you can find these peppered all over the net. ..and of course the item's details page. I DO, however, confirm or deny what you and I have read from the "gurus" with my own personal experiences paid for with my own personal dollars. I can confirm wholeheartedly that the many great things said by the major reviewers concerning the TP-750 are true. It is terrific.

When I chose the TP-750 it was between this and another famous PSU. After going through a failure I noticed many people were having failures with that other famous brand as well. I felt at the time I made the right decision ordering a TP-750 for myself. 2 years and some change later, I KNOW I made the right decision giving Antec a shot. Power supplies SHOULD be the cornerstone of every build! They don't have to be the most expensive or more wattage than you'll need, but they MUST be solid and dependable so research! Make sure your PSU is backed by a reputable company like Antec!

If you find one used or a refurb at a reasonable price, buy it. If you're lucky enough to find a new one, grab it!

ANTEC = best RMA experience thus far! I'm sure there will be many, many more. Antec, however, has definitely set the standards of how an RMA should play out.

One thing saddens me, which will probably annoy most reading this, is that I will not get to do anymore updates on the ANTEC TP-750 based on personal experience as I was given a different model. I am completely and utterly thrilled with my new model! Don't get me wrong, ANTEC made RIGHT by me and it's greatly appreciated. But, I truly loved that PSU and would have loved to witnessed it's true potential and longevity as so many others who have perfectly fine and aged TP-750s. If given the chance, I'd be happy to purchase my old one back as as soon as it is refurbished. I believed in this PSU and I still do!

My previous update was heartbreak and I knew the minute I started typing I should wait to let it all play out. Yes, I placed it back to my original 5 stars. Not 4, not 3 because this is a 5 star WORTH THE MONEY product!

Thank you to both Newegg and ANTEC!

EXTREMELY UPSET!

Pros: Powered my pc for 2 years. Had a steady voltage.

Cons: Took out motherboard as well. Unsure at this point what other collateral damage occurred. Powered my pc for 2 years. Heard a POP, saw a bit of flash from pc window, watched the pc shut down. Quickly unplugged power after that fiasco and inspected pc components to find the culprit. Low and behold it was the ONE thing in my pc that I thought would have lasted the longest. I reviewed this PSU all over the internet with high praises due to it's steady voltage, now I'm conflicted. Still under warranty but have no clue how this will go. Spent a small fortune on this thing to ensure longevity. Incredible enough the backup PSU by APEVIA purchased months prior to this one with a horrid rating still works just fine and costs 1/5 the price.

Overall Review: I shouldn't be writing a review now because in a few days I will either be happy because of replacement OR I will be incredibly more furious because of customer service and/or finding out it took other more expensive components with it. I ALWAYS revise reviews when something happens or year later something has impressed me a lot for those of you that could be possible purchasing a used or discounted or old but new products. I will revise this once the fog has cleared.

Pros: Stays cool and quiet while providing 750 watts of power, amazing. Does everything its supposed to. Even though this is plenty more watts then my system needs i decided to go with the extra s i can have room for upgrades.

Cons: Wires are a little stiff. Hard to get around tight places.
When the power cable on the outside is bumped by something it turns off the power to the whole machine. Not a big deal for me because i don't usually go around there.

Overall Review: None.

Stick to Cases

Pros: None

Cons: DOA, had RMA done, DOA again

Overall Review: I have the TP-750 blue but it was discontinued and this is the same PSU without the blue lighting. The PSU arrived DOA, got an RMA, tested it and it still didn't work and moved on to RMA the motherboard. Got the motherboard and it still didn't work, tested the motherboard on a friends 4 year old PSU and the motherboard began to work. Got a different power supply and attempted to return the Antec one only to learn they don't do refunds unless the the product is bought off there website. Stick to cases Antec because I won't be buying any other hard from you from now on.
PS your customer service sucks

Good for Medium to High End Gaming

Pros: 750 Watts
Runs cool
Has Plenty of power for most machines
Nice Cabling Design (For the most part)
Modular

Cons: Too many hard wired cables.

Overall Review: I would have like more of the cords to be able to be taken off, theres so many extra that I did not need that I had to tie them up in the machine. Just kinda wasted some space. Other than that, this power supply is fantastic and works flawlessly.

Antec Quality

Pros: I've had very good luck with Antec PSU's in the past and this is the 4th unit I've bought from newegg. From what I've been able to determine on these units they're rebranded SeaSonic so how could you go wrong with that quality at a mere fraction of the price the real deal would cost? Mine went in a Cooler Master HAF 922 and you could throw a party in that case with room left to spare. I picked mine up on sale for 69.99 and every Antec PSU still runs perfectly with the oldest being a Trio-Power 550 purchased in 2005. I'm running an Asrock z77 Pro 4, 3570K overclocked to 4.5Ghz with a Corsair A70 cooler, 16 GB of 4X4 GB Mushkin 2133 Enhanced Black RAM, HIS Radeon 6970, Adata SX 990 128GB SSD and a Samsung F3 1TB HDD in my build and have power left to spare.

Cons: The part is called semi-modular with the most usually used cables not detachable. This wasn't a problem for me as the HAF 922 offers superb cable routing options, but I can see how it could cause a less than clean build for some.
