Pros: Works great!
Overall Review: Lots of room
Pros: This surge protecting power strip was chosen over others for the Recessed On/Off Switch. There was a very similar one from another manufacturer but it's power switch was where one might accidentally kick it under the table and shut off the PC by accident. This one, the APC, can't do that because of the recessed switch.
Cons: The only Con I can think of is that it wasn't free. Otherwise, it provided everything I needed and it gave me peace of mind that my daughter's PC is now protected and safe.
Overall Review: When I was trying to decide which surge protecting power strip to buy here at Newegg, (which is almost exclusively where I buy electronics), I only compared three brands - APC, CyberPower, and Tripp-Lite. These three manufacturers are the most reputable when it comes to things like UPS'es so I figured that with that background in other AC protective devices that I could trust them with this too. My advice is to stick with these three companies for Surge Protective Power Strips.
Pros: APC makes the best surge protectors on the market and the model P8T3 is no exception. It comes with a lifetime product warranty AND a $150,000 protected equipment warranty and the surge protection is rated at 2770 Joules, not 1750 Joules as stated in Newegg's product description. The big advantage is that it has four wide spaced outlets which easily accomodates those bulky power adapters. In addition the power cord swilvels 180 degrees to make it convenient for placement. A very convenient feature is that the front panel has two LED indicators. The first one lights up green to let you know that protection is working. The second one lights up red if there is a building wiring fault. The first time that I plugged in the surge protector, the building wiring fault LED lighted up red so I knew that I had plugged it in to an incorectly wired outlet. I plugged it in to a different outlet and the red LED didn't light up so I knew that I had plugged it in to a correctly wired outlet. If you are looking for superior quality at a low cost then this is the perfect choice.
Pros: APC- powers everything as it should.
Overall Review: I have three of these- one for entertainment center, one for a gaming PC with eall the peripherals, and one for all my network equipment. All work as expected
Pros: Works very well, and has some really handy features such as well spaced outlets and sockets with built-in covers.
Overall Review: I would totally recommend it for computers or anybody who has a computer or has a lot of big appliances to plug in.
Pros: I purchased this surge protector to act as an on/off switch for my speakers. Having the power cable running with the length of the unit makes all the difference! No other surge protector I looked at has this design. So far it's been excellent and has had no problems. My original purchase was DOA, but Newegg simply replaced this for free without requiring me to return the original! That's the kind of customer service that will keep me coming back to Newegg for all my electronic needs! Thank you Newegg!
Cons: None! Solid unit & well designed.
Overall Review: I wish APC made unit half this length for smaller uses.
Pros: 8 well spaced outlets, plenty of room for transformer plugs.
sliding outlet covers for unused outlets
$75,000 insurance policy for connected items - makes me feel safe!
Cons: Would be nice if it had RJ-45 and BNC/Coax instead of RJ-11 protection but for $20 im not complaining
Overall Review: APC is an amazing company who stands behind their products with amazing insurance for your devices. If they are willing to put that kind of trust in their products i most certainly will continue to use them exclusively for surge suppressors and UPS units.
Pros: The RJ-11 jacks work! Previous older kit from another company were not so good in that area. The built-in tamper covers are nice, since we have a small child in the house. The rotating power cord is neat, a new feature for me. Will definitely buy APC again, and of course, from NewEgg.
