While both the 2.0 and 2+ models perform identically right now, the 2+ models are built for next-generation features rolling out in 2025 and 2026â??including advanced AI enhancements that elevate real-time music analysis and automate lighting effects far beyond the already impressive capabilities of Ape Labsâ?? iconic MusikMode.

The first major software update for 2+ fixtures is expected in mid-2025, unlocking a groundbreaking room-scanning feature.
