A1567 is the model number...also go into "settings"...then tap "general" on the left side.....then tap "about" on the right side...then on Model number tap this to get both model numbers...hope this helps.

Does this version of the Apple have the GPS built in?

Agreed. I called Apple, talked to an old aircraft pilot,  to get an absolute answer. The "Geniuses" at the store, just argue with you that it has to have a WiFi connection for the GPS to work. Wifi or Data augmentation may improve the accuracy, but is not required for the Cellular capable units. The GPS is built into the cellular chip along with the FM radio section that they will not turn on.

It works with two different GSM carriers that I put in. It seems unlock for GSM carrier as T-Mobile, AT&T, and carrier in Asia.

Is this manufacturer refurbished?

This was not refurbished by Apple.  It is an independent company called JoySystems.  The paperwork that came with my iPad states the are a “Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher”.  Nothing about Apple authorized or certified.

Is this version compatible with Verizon?

According to Newegg online chat, it WON'T work on Verizon in US.
