Pros: Needed a non-conductive thermal compound for use on a couple projects, the Arctic MX-2 worked great and as advertized. This is the compound I turn to for my non-conductive thermal conductivity needs, simply because it works.

Pros: Upgraded the CPU in an old laptop to something a little faster (and hotter). Used this past and have had no problems with keeping it cool. No metal in the paste makes it perfect for such applications.

Cons: No metal in the past and probably doesn't transfer heat as well as metal counterparts.

Overall Review: I run a technical support business and purchased this to reduce the chances of damage when working with client workstations. No complaints.

Pros: Very easy to spread. Better thermal conductivity than Arctic Silver 5. Very little wasted paste on spreader (I use a credit card) Quick cure/set time.

Cons: It will be a bit harder to spread when cold.

Overall Review: I've tried a dozen TIM products and this was by far the best I have used. I've tried diamonds, ceramics, pads, etc. As far as price vs spreading ability vs filling ability vs thermal reduction ability, this is my new favorite. I build about 20 computers or so a month, this is definitely my go to paste. For a rough idea of some of the temperatures on stock coolers: i3-3220: 29c i5-3570k: 32c i5-2500k: 34c Xeon X3 V2: 31c

Pros: Non-conductive, doesn't require settle/burn-in, not as thick as other pastes. I used Arctic Silver 5 for many years and replaced it with MX-2 several years ago and it was an excellent decision; the price is low and it performs superbly.

Cons: Not the best paste on the market. For the price, it's the best you can do!

Overall Review: I've used this paste in dozens of builds over the years and I can't find anything better for the price.

Pros: - I used 3/4 of a tube on one use. Probably overkill. - Kept my AMD 1090t x6 cool with the stock Black Edition fansync. - It's not sticky or gooey! I have used stock paste in the past that has been as gooey and viscous with a consistency as maple syrup (even spent a couple hours cleaning it out of my proc and motherboard when I removed/upgraded a processor! It was lukewarm and not even melted, just gooey.) This paste is not that. Let your computer cool off a good 20 or 30 minutes and remove your proc, and this paste will be as solid as playdough.

Cons: No cons as of yet. If you get it on your hands then it's hard to get off your skin and fingernails. Not at all a con. Just use a good bit of hand sanitizer or alcohol to remove it from your skin in my experience.

Overall Review: I almost didn't want to review this because I can't really comment on the difference of temps. I upgraded my processor and in doing so also upgraded from a fansink to water cooler. So new proc, new cooling system. The temp difference wouldn't be accurate to gauge, in my opinion. But the consistency of this paste is great and a definite extra $10 worth spending for later removal and replacement of processors. Your cooling system makes a bigger difference on temps, but this paste is clean and easy.

Pros: i like the consistency and the heat transfer performance is about as good as it gets.
