what is the shelf life of this product?

Don't know how long you plan on keeping it but I have had mine for just about a year and used it several times with absolutely no issues . Just keep it in a reasonable temperature environment and make sure its capped well and you should have no problems.

Question 2

Does anyone know the exact thermal conductivity of this paste? 
Its really hard comparing them when one paste gives details about the paste and another just gives a vague "it helped our test system".

It is better than any stock come with coolers.
It is softer and my students like it very well.
It is easier to spread out the whole cpu. 
They use a very thin layer and are asked to redone
it once every two years.
