Is internet required at camera location?

These cameras come with their own router.  Which, in my opinion makes them exceptional.  The router has significant range and does not interfere with my wireless network.  So connect the Arlo router to your main router and put the camera where you need it.

Will this camera record us while we are home?

Accepted Answer

It depends if you want it do. You can manage your recordings based on a time schedule or GPS location (Geofencing). In order to do Geofencing, you need to install the app on your phone.

The current issue with the recordings is that it doesn't work 50% of the time. Sometimes the quality is even poor. Netgear is trying to address the issue but it has been three weeks already.
