ASRock 880GM-LE AM3 AMD 880G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: This just went into a customer's build. I've been really impressed lately with the value and quality I've been getting from ASROCK boards. This one is no exception. Lots of USB headers and everything worked the first time without any trouble

Overall Review: I didn't try out the core unlocker feature on this board as I'm looking for reliability in a customer's build. If I had more time to test it for stability after the unlock I might have attempted it but I was on a tight schedule.

Pros: Core unlocker, nice onboard graphics, which scores 4.4 on Windows performance, highest onboard AMD graphics available on New Egg is 4290, so I thought it was a nice price/performance choice. Price right now is $60. 6 SATA II ports, 12 USB ports (6 back panel, another 6 usable with internal plugs). Core unlocker works, btw, I unlocked a X3 445 Rana with it, no problems, just set ACC to auto. Lots of ASRock utilities to tweak things, I'm liking them a lot.

Cons: As another reviewer wrote, only 2 memory slots, but 4GB is more than enough for me. OC options are a bit overkill for this model, but it's nice to see them in the BIOS. I'd suggest simply going auto everything unless you really know what you're doing. None of this docks an egg, though.

Overall Review: I got this in a sub $300 build (including case/power supply). I read the manual before making the plunge, and I think that right now this is probably the best bang for your buck if you want a low budget build. Works well with G. Skill F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT (cheapest 4GB kit on New Egg currently), which was a concern for me because this memory is not on the MB QVL list (ASRock provides a very long list of QVL'd memory). Add a nice $100 graphics card later and it'll be able to perform adequately in any game made to date for under $400 total (especially with that unlocked Phenom II 4X I mentioned).

Pros: The onboard graphics are pretty good especially if you don't have the funds for a GPU at the time. Bios makes OC very simple. I don't understand how people say the LAN port doesn't work after installing the driver(works fine for me). Comes with good software. Runs stable OC at 3.6 Ghz without heating issues. Two ram slots is fine with dual channel ram. All in all very happy with this board

Pros: *Works. *Supports all AM3 CPUs. *Integrated chipset is capable of running games at medium to high detail. Newer ones such as Empire: Total War and even older games that have killed systems, such as Battlefield 2, Half Life 2, and Oblivion. Runs WoW on Medium settings. There's also an overclocking function for the integrated chipset. Comparable performance to a high end GeForce 6-series, but with Direct X10 features. *Motherboard has an anti-stupid feature in the sense that if you set your OC settings too high and can't boot, after a given amount of boots it sets itself to stock settings. Don't be stupid and disable the anti-stupid feature. *Begs to unlock and overclock and makes it stupid easy. One button at the very start, and BAM! 5% overclock on the CPU, 10-20% on the integrated and a possible unlock! *Many options to choose from in the BIOS to boost your system's performance. Includes pre-set overclocking options in percentages of 5%!

Cons: *Small, but I suppose that's the point. *Awkward placing for tower cables. IDE and SATA are fine, but the P4 power pin is on the left side of the board, the Audio panel connectors are on the /bottom left/ which makes wiring tricky. Floppy is also on the bottom, but who cares about floppies anymore? *Needs a P4 power connector (or P8), so if you have an older power supply, you'll have to get either a new power supply or wire that changes a molex into P4. *No Crossfire or SLI. Low-end crossfire /does/ exist on the motherboard with the integrated ATI chip, but you need a low-end ATI DX10/11 graphics card to use it anyway. Full crossfire and/or SLI (full as in, both cards are at 16x PCI 2.0) are only available at around $99+.

Overall Review: A wonderful motherboard for the price. No regrets about buying it.

Pros: This little board worked well right out of the box. It is compatible with Phenom xII 1005 (six core, 125w) without bios upgrade, however I did upgrade the bios from Asrock's website after getting the system up and running. Bios has lots of OC options. No driver problems in XP.

Cons: The MOSFETS get pretty toasty running the six core on a stock HSF. No stability issues, but I am concerned about longevity. Just to be sure, I have ordered some tiny MOSFET heatsinks from Newegg.

Overall Review: I usually steer away from micro ATX boards, but on this build I needed a mini tower. Overall I'd buy this board again. The heat issues can be resolved with air movement or a less power hungry processor.

Overall Review: I already wrote a review but i just wanted to say that the LAN port will not work after installing the driver. I had to roll back the driver to the windows native driver and it worked fine.

Pros: Price. Features. One click ACC. Paired this board with Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz and "one click, that quick" had a 4 core proc running @ 3.38GHz! Built many boxes over years but this one feature truly amazed me! On board video not for serious gamers but fine for office, general home use, light gaming. Running Win 7 Pro 64 bit. Replaces 11 year old XP home P4 2.66. In comparison, well there is no comparison, this board rocks!

Cons: No USB 3 (not really a biggie, yet) Only 2 dimm slots.

Overall Review: Easy install.. Mini tower case still had lots of room. Cools well with stock cooler and fan. 2 ram slots (would have preferred 4 but board is small -micro ATX) Installed 2x2 for 4 GB total. Unless you're doing graphic design, gaming, etc, 4 GB seems to be enough.. for now.

Pros: My replacement is working great. Stable, lots of BIOS features, excellent temperatures, running well on a lower wattage psu than most people would get for my build. I like the energy saver and instant boot softwares included, and the CD drivers install nicely and work, although some may need updating.

Cons: Other than the 1st one being DOA, this is an excellent board for the price. I guess my only cons are that energy saver software makes the PC too slow for games, which I expected, and instant boot restarts my computer instead of shutting down and waiting for me to turn it on to do the quick boot. For restarting, it works great.

Overall Review: This was my first build. I'm running this mobo with an x4 640, overclocked NVIDIA gts450, 2 case fans, a DVD burner, and a SATA HDD, all on a 380W Antec Earthwatts PSU. I'm loving it and it runs games smoother than I thought at 1600x900.
