Is this board compatible with AMD AM3+ socket CPUs above 8350?

as far as I know it will, it seems ok,, but, I keep blue screening with it, I tried in win 8.1  8  and seven, still does it, it ran great on my msi board no problems,,, not sure what it is,,, probably a glitch with the cards,,, other that that the board rocks. and it was made for amd's 8 core. I think it is good,

ASRock 9?90FX Ex4 is it 'Windows 8 Ready'?

Why would you want Windows 8? I assume that Microsoft would be better suited to answer this in one of their knowledge bases. I'm sure it is stop looking for a reason not to by this board.  Its only downfall is the limitations of the amd chipset and ram bandwith. Ie. All slots filled 1600 tops speed. All amd bords are like this. Its a fantastic board had it for about 6 months now and love it.

Question 3

Has anyone experimented with running a 3 ram stick congiguration for this board? I am running Windows 7 home premium 64bit and curretly
have 3, 4 gig sticks installed on the board.

It will work, but then your speed total for the ram will go down as it will no longer be running in dual ram, and the board does not support triple ram mode. Best to get another 4gig stick along with the motherboard that matches the speed of the other 3 sticks.

If you do decide to use the 3 ram, the speed penalty will be great and you would best just go with two sticks only.

Would Coolermaster 212 heatsink have enough clearance to be installed?

I have the CM 212 Evo with a push pull installed. There is enough room but it's very tight. Installing the pull fan can be hard because of the heat sink on the motherboard but it will fit without touching it once it's in. Although you might touch it while trying to install a pull fan. And as for the push fan. Idk how well it will work with tall ram but I'm using g skill sniper series ram and it fits. Just make sure you have the ram installed first to make it easier.
