Question 1

What does the 2400(OC) bit mean? I am looking at buying DDR3 RAM that runs at 2400 without overclocking, but the specs seem to say that it can only use up to 1600 and everything else is overclocked.

Terry, two things. First, the RAM you are buying may give overclock settings as stable standard settings and have been tested running at those settings. Thus it could be considered non-overclocked and stable at 2400 settings. Second, when the Fatal1ty  Z87 Professional was designed and the specs and BIOS written, the highest non-overclocked RAM commonly available might well have been 1600. The board then would need to be set  up in BIOS to OC settings for RAM to handle faster RAM than it was built for.  I think I am going with 1600 non-OC or 1866 non-OC RAM and an SSD boot drive for my setup. I have not yet bought the RAM.

Can this motherboard connect to wifi or do I need to buy a ethernet cord?

This motherboard does not have built-in wireless but it does have two gigabit ethernet ports. You won't need to purchase an ethernet card but you will need to purchase a wireless adapter if you intend to connect through wireless.

Will this product do SLI.. or 2 way SLi + Physx?

I know that it will do SLI, per the manual's specification; however, I did not purchase this motherboard for that purpose, nor do I plan to in the future.  Sorry, can't be much help.

I have this board and Corsair Dominator Platinum ram will a Noctua NH-D14 fit?

I would say probably not, I have the G. Skill Ripjaws (not the Ripjaws X)  and there is virtually no clearance with my NH-D14. The heat sinks are practically touching on the Noctua and the Ripjaws.

I have an i7 4770K, will I be able to overclock with this MoBo?

This motherboard is definitely designed to be overclocked, there are many adjustable settings in the bios

Is anyone using this motherboard with a Samsung SSD drive?

I read about Samsung SSD drives not working with certain motherboards... something about a Marvell chipset.  I don't understand how a SATA drive can magically work on 1 motherboard but not another.  The whole thing is very confusing.  So I thought I would ask since I want to buy this board and a Samsung 1TB SSD drive to go with it.

Yes it works...  I have this Motherboard paired with a Samsung 840 Pro 500GB SSD and it works without any issues....

Can someone out there please please tell me how to get the sound chip on this board working?

I have had the board for around 25 days and my 30 day return window will expire and I donno what to do.  Surely there must be some simple little hacky thing to do?

The official driver from the official site claims that there are no supported devices found.

Please I need my sound to work.  Please!

AFAIK everything else about this board is working for me.  Haven't tested the PCIexpress slots though.

I had the sound on this motherboard stop working at random 2 times since I got it. It did exactly what you said saying that it could not be found. Rebooting does not fix it but shutting down  turning off the power then turning the power back on and booting back up fixed it both times. Also when you say "official driver from the official site" if you mean creative(dot)com those drivers will NOT work! This is a oem sound blaster card so you need to use the drivers from ASRock.

Exactly how amny Intel Sata 6.0 Sata ports are there on this board, I see its says 10Sata 6.0 but are they all Intel?
