Yes it supports AM2, AM3, and AM3+.  With Check the RAM you have though, the processors will only work with specific RAM.

SDX145HBK13GM is the processor, take out box - that just means it's retail.

**DDR3 memory is only supported by installing AM3/AM3+ CPU.

****DDR2 memory is only supported by installing AM2/AM2+/AM3 CPU.

You can only use the DDR2 OR the DDR3, you cannot mix the chips. So max of 2 chips, of the same type.

Here's the list. I recommend at least the AMD Phenom™ x4 if your going to play any newer games, if you play a lot of the newer games go with the am3+ 8 core and a good video card. Hope this helps.

It appears it will work with Many of the Athlon 64 X2 line or CPUs However there are dozens of CPUs with that name.. Check this list to be sure your model works.

If you go to details and scroll to the almos the bottom you will see "Manufacturer Product Page" On the left... Click that and when you get to the Asrock site you will see a "CPU Support List" Link on the top left of the ASrock page... In there you will see a list of all the CPUs the mobo supports.

Or tell me your exact Althlon model and I can check.

I need to know if this motherboard will work with my AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor 5000+ 2.60 GHZ processor, and DDR2 240 pin ram?

If you are on a budget it's a good board.  Especially the overclocking options from the bios, if you're in to that.  The board can take the 8 core processor and use ddr3 memory.  You can't mix-match the memory according to the listing and manufacturer, either ddr2 or ddr3.  The processor has to go along with the memory. So older you would have to use ddr2.  Anytime you purchase a board you can look up the manufacturer's supported hardware lists and find the answer to your question..  I would give you a direct link to ASRock's cpu supported list, but links are allowed on this forum.  If you search Huckabey PC on facebook I can assist you further.

I can't tell you Yes, for sure,  that it will work, but looks like it, there are 5 processors listed on the support list.. All you have to do is look at the model of the cpu on the one you have and cross reference to the cpu support list.  The model number or part number will be on the top of the processor under the heat sink. If you are still using that computer you might want to clean the cpu and reapply thermal past and put the heatsink back on until you get the board. very easy.  good luck.  if you need some help or assistance feel free to contact me at huckabeypc at gmail or directly through facebook..

i should, it is listed on there cpu support list as--- AM3 Athlon II X2 ADX270OCK23GM 60.2W Regor 3400MHz 2000MHz 1MBx2 N/A C3 All... just make sure that you look at  memory specs. and be sure that everything is compatable with eachouther. seems that some of the bad reviews for this board is from not useing compatable parts . so good luck mine works fine for what it is.        remember to go to asrock then go to the board and review the cpu and memory support lists. useing that andd outher support info you shouls be good to go.

I'm trying to resurrect an old HP 1648x desktop. 
Will this MB work as a replacement for the Asus A8MN2-LA?
The specs are-

Yes it most certainly will. It can use DDR2 or DDR3 but not both at the same time. It can also use any CPU from AM2 all the way to AM3+ and the next gen CPU that is not even out yet. You can use DDR2 with any CPU you like with this board but if you plan to use DDR3 you MUST use AM3 cpu or higher. Just swap parts over and you are good. Even the CPU cooler is compatible.

I wouldn't count on any cards working on this board. I tried 3 different ones and it would not recognize any of them. I also found this board to be pretty unstable. I ended up yanking it and replacing with an MSI which I have used with good results on a few other builds. Bottom line, you might be better off using the money to upgrade to a better MB rather than throwing parts at this one.

AM2+ does not support DDR3 unfortunately.  AM2/AM2+ chips only support DDR2 memory.

I'm going to add a video card to this board. How do uninstall the onboard video driver and disable it as well, to make way for the new card?

Uninstall any custom drivers, and use the default VGA driver set to low res VGA, like 640x480 or 800x600, with 8 or maybe 16 bit color. Restart and make sure the basic video works. Then restart again, and this time go into your bios and disable the built-in video. Then power down and install the new card. When you start up, you should be in low VGA mode, which your new card should support. You can then install the driver for the new card, and set your res where you want it.

One - is the ATX 12 V Power Connector  (ATXPWR1)
Two - is the ATX12 V power connector (ATX12V1)
