Cause of the massive power needs to run a higher clock rate and more display output performance like VR and 8K abilities, so ya it needs 3 8-pins! Hope you have a good PSU to help make things stable. XD

Question 4

The compatibility list from the MSI  motherboard shows this Radeon model but under their MSI label, not the ASRock label. Does anyone know if there is any reason this Asrock version will not work? The MSI version is several hundred dollars more?

MSI wants you to buy only their products. I am currently using an ASRock GPU with an MSI MB. I've had this set up for years with NO ISSUES.  In fact the ASRock GPU works better than the GigaByte GPU I had before.
