does this tablet come with windows 8, windows rt or windows 8.1? If it comes with Windows 8 is it eligible for a free upgrade?

It came with Win 8 not RT (one of the main reasons I bought it over the similarly price Surface RT Tab. And I'm not positive but pretty sure it came with a free 8.1 upgrade as only 8.0 was available when purchased.

Question 2

Can I later purchase a keyboard to attach to this? Thank you for your time.

The ASUS keyboard that they make for this is bluetooth and can be purchased separately. I recommend it as it has a cover/stand for the tablet, and the keyboard itself includes a trackpad. When not in use, the cover and keyboard and tablet close up together and make it as easy to carry as a light laptop. It may be high price though, so you can use any other bluetooth keyboard that you like.

Can we install Microsoft Office 2010 Professional on this machine?

You can install any Windows program on this tablet, this has the full version of Windows. I cannot tell you how well it will run though.

Question 4

Can I get an accurate pen input in this thing for drawing floorplans? Can I use my Samsung Note pen, or any other accurate pen input. I don't mean those rubber dollar store ones.

Not sure if the pen from your galaxy note will work but i don't think that the vivotab has that technology built in. Those kinds of pens are usually specific to their device. I have an Galaxy S3 and I tried the pen from a galaxy note from a friend and it doesn't work.
