Pros: Many SATA ports, low power, fast enough, inexpensive, durable in my experience.
Cons: I am amending my prior comment about FREENAS 8.2 Beta not working with the onboard NIC. Cons-> none. Would probably direct a fan onto the heat sink.
Overall Review: I am amending my prior comment about FREENAS 8.2 Beta not working with the onboard NIC. It seems the USB I was booting freenas from was corrupted. The newest 8.2 Beta does have drivers for this NIC and just got it to work for me with a new USB stick.
