ASUS GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI/768MD5

Pros: + Idle wattage: it's very very power saving in idle most, just about 20W. My system with an x4 620@3,25 only consumes 90W with this card at idle. + overclocks well to (869core@1.05v//2178 mem) using MSI afterburner. Although this is not great, several other 768s can get this far without voltage boost. It's still very good to achieve over 39% overclocks compare to a regular 768 card doing 625. The memory also overclocks well, 20% more than stock's 1800 mem. With this overclock, this card is at or better than the HD 5850 performance. Very nice. + the HSF is top notch, even after clocking running Kombuster brings it to about 64C which is incredible. I'd say this cooler is about 15C better than a reference design.

Cons: + uses massive amounts of wattage when overclocked. After some calculation this card is using about 200-210W after overclocking at max load using Kombuster//Crysis burn. It was surprising to me that at stock it's probably only 130-140W. Still the added performance is worth it. + You need a high ventilation case because the HSF dumps all the heat _into_ the case instead of exhaust to the back, I use a haf 932 and placed a 92mm fan right behind the card, but I can imaging people who overclock and has poor case ventilation will have heat problems. + noise, at 50% fan, it's audible at night when it's pitch quiet outside, but when I put on headphones it's no bother.

Overall Review: I gone from a HD 4850@700/1200 to this card@869//2178. I must say it's running anywhere from 35%-75% faster in various games I tested, 3d vantage has it doubling the score of 4850 but that's synthetic benchmark and doesn't mean much. The best thing is DX11 for me, I can now play Lost Planet 2 and few other games in DX11 mode w/ some excellent eye candy over DX9 mode. The added speed also allow me to turn up AA from my usual 2x-4x to 8x or 16x, very nice visual improvement in games. + Overall, a great upgrade, the included free game I don't play.

Pros: Purchased a pair of these over Thanksgiving shopping splurge when sold for 115 after instant and MIR. Replaced ATI 5670 in bedroom CPU. Was very pleasantly surprised by the performance boost and by how quiet the card was in idle and under load. Decided to spend a few days testing the second card against a single 1GB GTX460 in my gaming rig which had a pair running.

Cons: None at all!

Overall Review: In my "Test" gaming machine I configured it with 1-GTX460 1GB, ran a series of benchmarks and gaming runs. Then installed the second 768MB card and re-ran the testing. In summary, just a few frames less than a single 256 bit card @ most resolutions and able to play up to 1920 x 1200 on most titles (eye candy dependent). Great performance, and for roughly 50% less cash. Recommend this card for the gamer on a budget, will not disappoint. With Afterburner, received 800Mhz capable cards (both run @ 800Mhz stock cooling). From reviews I've read, this card will smoke the new nVidia 550Ti across the board. It is a card to pick-up while you can. On MIR, selected Rapid Rebate and received it in less than 5 weeks after purchase. Wish people wouldn't 1 star a great card due to rebate problem.

Pros: I did some research before buying these cards....and boy the reviewers were right, 2 of these are close to beat my friend's HD 5970 (no kidding!). SLI scaling is just phenomenal. The pros: 1. Price/performance: got mine for $300 including tax & shipping, with 2 free games, and excluding $40 rebate ($260 for SLI) 2. Very good frame rate if you’re playing on 1920 x 1080 res max! 3. Sucks less power and way cooler than other 400 series (470’s, 480’s) 4. Overclockable at 850/2000 w/ stock voltage 5. 3D capable!!

Cons: 1. can't go tri-sli 2. it will struggle on a 2560 x 1600 (30" monitors) even in sli because of 768mb memory.

Overall Review: Just FYI: if you have an Asus P6T x58, SLI setup will be a little crammed. I noticed a 10C difference between 1st (78C/load) and 2nd (68C/load) card due to limited ventilation of the 1st card. I have a very good case cooling so it's not really a problem.

Pros: Keeps up with pretty much any game I throw at it and the temperatures are AMAZING. It is 29 degrees right now...as I'm writing this, and it doesn't really go over 50 in games. This is also with a sound card about a fifth of an inch away from the fan. Oh, and infinitely quieter than my old video card.

Cons: For many, the 768mb of RAM may prove to be a problem in some games, not most, but some. Also, I ran into a driver issue with the card that gave me a headache for a few days and I am sharing that experience with you so that you may resolve it quickly and be on your marry way. This card decided that it wanted to install the nVidia HD audio drivers, I have an Asus Xonar DX attached to some 5.1 speakers, I didn't want my monitor speakers to be my new source of all things audio (although the card produced some impressive sound through those tiny speakers). In the future I plan to do a custom install of all new drivers and not include the HD audio. Long story short, setting the Xonar to default was not enough, I had to uninstall the nVidia Audio drivers, and I disabled them just for good measure. My frame rates went from the 20s to the 60s and up. So if anyone else is having this problem, I hope this helps!

Overall Review: Very solid performer, I upgraded from a GTS 250 and am happy with my decision. I hope you don't run into the issue of slow framerates as I did, but, if you do, I detailed how to fix the problem I encountered in the cons.

Pros: Ran smooth for a solid week without difficulties. Was fairly impressed. Much smaller than my old 280gtx, and makes a lot less noise.

Cons: Started getting artifacts after a month. I didn't overclock it or tweaked any voltage settings. RMA is still pending after weeks, and goodluck reaching their customer service number.

Overall Review: Save the heartache and don't buy from this company. You'll get the run around. Completely disappointed.

Pros: This has to be one of the best designed GTX 460s on the market. I been building systems for many years now and have to say this is without a doubt the best card I have used. The card performs well for the price point. It runs extremely cool at idles 28c and under heavy load it only gets up to 46c. Its is inaudible at idle and makes only a very slight noise at heavy loads. 1. Good performance. 2. Very quite 3. Low power consumption. 4. Runs very cool. 5. overclocks well.

Cons: The asus software stinks if you want to get the most from the card get the Evga Precision software or the MSI afterburner tool.

Overall Review: Just make sure you have a good quality PSU with recommended voltage on the 12v rails and this thing will run well.

Pros: Got this for $129 after rebate. Fast: Win7 score of 7.5. WoW framerates rarely if ever drop below 50 in ULTIMATE vid settings and often get in excess of 150fps. Runs cool with that oversized heatsink and fan.

Cons: Card got quirky on me once that even soft reboots didnt solve. A full power down was needed for the card to reset and I've not seen the problem since. Not a neg really, just an observation. The rebate process was a little more time consuming than was necessary, a totally paperless rebate would be better.

Overall Review: This unit is fairly large make so sure you have the space to fit it. My midtower case for all intents and purposes lost a harddrive space (1 of 5) due to its length. Overall Review: I bought this when it was $150 with the coupon and a $20 rebate. For the price i cant complain.
