ASUS GTX570 DirectCU II graphics card introduces exclusive DirectCU II technology which uses copper heat pipes directly contacting the GPU and twin 80mm fans for a massive 600% increase in airflow compared to reference. It also includes ASUS Super Alloy Power technology, which uses a unique alloy formula in power components such as chokes, capacitors, POSCAPs and MOSFETs to ensure a 15% performance boost, 35°C cooler operation and 2.5 times longer lifespan. In addition, ASUS overvolting utility Voltage Tweak allows gamers to realize the full potential of their PC’s graphics performance with an easy to use and intuitive user interface. As you’ve come to expect from a GeForce GTX GPU, ASUS GTX570 DirectCU II packs support for all the premium GTX gaming technologies such as NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, and SLI to offer the ultimate in gaming realism.

  • newegg DirectCU II Based on ASUS DirectCU architecture, which uses copper heat pipes in direct contact with the GPU to speed up heat dissipation for over 20% cooler performance, DirectCU II takes cooling further with twin 80mm fans for 600% airflow. This massive increase in cooling translates into an immediate performance gain, as the card can take on heavier loads. Gamers can also overclock the hardware further thanks to higher tolerances and lower temperatures.

Nice beast

Pros: Runs super cool, OC's fairly well. Looks, the back-plate is a plus. Asus DC II edition GPU's never cease to amaze, you get the whole package.

Can play almost any game maxed out with the exception of Crysis 3 / Bioshock Infinite / Farcry 3, etc..

2 of these in Sli destroy any game including the ones I posted above.

Very easy to remove cooler and re-paste GPU, overall very satisfied with these cards.

Cons: Takes up 3 slots but if you buy/have the correct mobo/case it shouldn't be an issue.

Newegg didn't have it available at the time of purchase.

Loves voltage, if you want a "greener" card buy a 6 series instead.

Other Thoughts: Still can hold it's own despite being over 2 years old.

ATM you can find on of these for about $200 if you look around, I have 2 of these in Sli and I still cannot find a game that will bog them down @ 1080p.

Runs hot in SLI

Pros: Triple slot cooler allows for a massive heatsink
Runs all the games i play at max settings (SLI)

Cons: The cards are heavy and sag (I have rigged up a harness tying them to the top of my case to alleviate this).

When running SLI there is almost zero space between the fan inlet of the top card and the backing plate of the lower card. This caused my temps to skyrocket during gaming sessions.

Other Thoughts: Temp issues were resolved by removing "shroud" from top card, allowing the fan to draw air in from all directions.

High deficiency rate

Pros: Good when it is actually working

Cons: -Poor customer service.
-have all kind of graphical issues.

i got this card new and it was working for a few months of medium gaming (1-3 hours per day).
i contacted customer service, they offered to exchanged for a refurbished working card, the next card i got has a different issue (ghosting) i repeated that procedure 3 times, every time i call they say "hey lets send you another one" and every time the card that they send is a defective card with a different issue (blurring, artifacts etc...) up til today, i am still trying to get a working card from ASUS.
their customer service seems to have problems of its own, when you call, they keep you on the waiting list (not complaining there) but after a few minutes thy throw you to a voice mail recorder and ask you to leave a message, they never call back, i tried that.

i highly recommend to everyone who is considering this to think twice especially that there are much more stable cards out there.

when my ASUS GTX570 breaks and when i send it to get replaced, i use my old EVGA GTX 270 which has been working perfectly for many years now.

maybe ASUS make great motherboards (i own one) but they still have to come a long way in graphic cards.

Awesome Card

Pros: Card can handle anything.

Cons: Weight

Other Thoughts: I bought this card in Feb of 2012 and have been extremely happy with it. Currently the most GPU intensive game I play right now is Planetside 2 and this card handles it very well, the only thing hold me back is my 5 year old CPU (Q6600 Kentsfield) and not by much.

I am writing this to provide a word of caution to potential buyers and current users. This card is large, as has been stated many times, but it is also very heavy. A few weeks ago my computer stopped booting properly and made a strange beeping sound when it tried to post. I looked up the issue and found that the sound was my motherboard telling me that it was not detecting a video card. What has happened was the weight of the card was finally bending and pulling just enough on the connection to disrput it. I rectified this by finding an object to place underneath my card to prop it up so there would no longer be any stress at the slot connection. Since then there have been no problems, just make sure you blow the dust out every now and then.

INSANELY good card

Pros: This card runs everything - EVERYTHING - I throw at it on highest settings (ultra); BF3, GW2, Crysis 2 (with high-res textures), WoW, Aion, Planetside 2, GTA IV (w/ graphics mods), no problems at all.

Cons: The only thing that comes close to a "con" isn't even the card's fault; when running BF3, the card would keep force-closing the game on me within a few minutes of loading the game. This is because Battlefield 3 doesn't like OC'ed GPU's...I actually had to underclock my 570 to the GeForce specs; after that, BF3 ran smooth (max settings, 60+fps). Again, not really a con for the card, moreso a con for BF3. No other games have had this issue.

Other Thoughts: An incredible card, definitely plan on purchasing it again in the future if I make the leap to SLI. All-around solid.

NOTE*** This card is HUGE, make sure you have space in your case for this card. Additionally, it is rather heavy, and sags a big on the side opposite the video ports. I actually wrapped the GPU's power cable underndeath it, which helps support some of the weight. It's been ~2 years now I've had this card, and I've traveled with my computer several times, and haven't had any issues with it breaking, or the card not working. I repeat....solid, solid card.

Awesome card; please read (if getting issues)

Pros: Now the card is huge and it costs alot; but somepeople forget that the card requires drives for it to run games at good settings; now i used the disk initally to get some of the drivers but the nvidia driver; i got them from nvidia.com why? they would have latest updates on the video card. But inside the cd is also requred; because it may have software relating to firmware. Now firmware can help you fix alot of issues like overheating and stuff.

Cons: This card requires space around the card; because of the sheer size of card; do not expect that you can put it in a small case; don't cause of heat alone can and will destroy this card. Proper air flow is required.

Other Thoughts: none i can think of.
