The GeForce GTX 670 combines high performance with exceptional power efficiency. GPU Boost dynamically boosts clock speed for extra performance. New anti-aliasing modes eliminate jaggies without sacrificing framerate. And NIVIDIA Sound lets you game on three monitors from a single card. The GeForce GTX 670 GPU is not the end of story. ASUS exclusive DirectCU II thermal solution achieves 20% Cooler and Vastly Quieter than reference. DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology ensures stable overclocking while GPU Tweak offers real time and intuitive tuning and overclocking.

  • newegg Direct cooling for 20% cooler than reference Thick copper heatpipes are accurately positioned in direct contact with the GPU surface so heat is transported and dissipated efficiently to the heatsink - achieving a 20% cooler performance than reference. Since heat is carried away faster, fans can spin at a lower speed thus resulting in quieter performance than reference.
  • newegg DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology Acclaimed DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology delivers precise digital power and enhanced durability for stable overclocking. Plus, the new and exclusive Super Alloy Power technology on ASUS graphics cards uses a special alloy formula which is highly-magnetic, heat-resistant and anti-corrosive. It delivers a more stable and quieter operation compared to the reference design – a welcome bonus sought after by performance seekers.
  • newegg GPU Tweak Overclocking is made real-time and intuitive with ASUS GPU Tweak utility. It not only allows you to optimize clock speeds, voltage and fan speeds on up to four graphics cards independently or simultaneously, you can also select between GPU Tweak’s Standard or Advanced modes depending on your level of experience. For gamers out there, GPU Tweak enables instantaneous in-game video recording up to 720p resolution so you can share clips with the community easily.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

Asus Quality Concerns 8/3/2016 3:01:12 AM

Pros: - Worked without issues for 3.5 years

Cons: - Loud pop noise and screen went dark. Forced reboot loops and powerdowns intermittently. Card has finally failed.

Overall Review: My Ivy Bridge build was primarily based on Asus. I have had great success with them in the past (my 2006 Conroe build with Asus hardware has and is working flawlessly). For this 2012 Ivy Bridge build, I purchased an Asus Motherboard, this graphics card and optical drives. Everything that I purchased with the Asus name on it has failed. 2 mother boards (first one was DOA), this graphics card and both BR and DVD drives. I have learned my lesson. Next builds will be with a different company. Sorry Asus, you have lost my trust. Even my wife's Biostar board has outlived your high end hardware. Never again.

Pros: Great card , powerful , good design / quiet.
can run bf3 ultra at 1900*1200 no problems whatsoever as far as framerate.

Cons: To start : here are briefly my system specs:i7 2600k , 8gb kingston hyperx dd3 , 775 thermatake 80+, gigabyte ud3h b3 , crucial m4 128gb (only hd).
I installed the card to replace my faulty radeon 6850 (which I established for fact was a faulty card based on dozens of forums I read regarding the issues I had with it- gave me BSOD's artifacts daily).

This card functioned great the first month or 2 but then I had a few issues with driver recovering successfully screenflash. However there were no BSOD's or artifacts with the card and it happens fairly rare.

I reinstalled the driver , installed newest 314.07, set the GPU to high performance mode , disabled Vsinc , disabled hardware acceleration on my browser and the issue is now very sporadic (no more than once a day , in fact the last time i seen it was 3 days ago).Ive contacted asus and they advised me to raise the voltage on the card (haven't tried yet) if the issue returns I will consider.

>>>UPDATE!:Card started to artifact and black screen after approximately 4 years of usage..Often times system the system would either hang on a game with a buzzing sound , sometimes it would boot with no video signal from the card.More recently I had green artifacts on Dota 2 with drivers crashing and then screen goes black..Now the card artifacts on boot in bios..Artifacts quickly start to appear in furmark about 1 min...I had to replace it and bought a radeon rx390.

Besides this , I am satisfied with the card even if occasionally I have this inconvenience. I don't think the card is faulty (fingers crossed) and honestly Ive had a laptop that had this very same issue run for 7+ years and still working fine (the laptop has a 9600m gs gpu on vista).

Crashes Frequently 3/30/2014 10:51:21 AM

Pros: 1080p
was on sale
better than what i had

Cons: Crashes, interfering with games. some games crash because of this

Overall Review: Bought this to replace my last Graphics Card, and it seemed to work much better. However, I have noticed that the card will crash a minimum of once every time I turn on the computer. Depending on the game I am playing, it will sometimes happen more frequently, and causes certain games to crash. I basically consider this to be something that makes this card unusable

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for purchasing an ASUS product.

Typically a display card would not cause a system to crash. In most cases when an error or crash happens in Windows, it can be explained by a driver conflict. Moreover, I would suggest removing any previous display drivers installed on the computer. By doing this, it should resolve the problem. Should you need any assistance in this matter, please let me know through email. 3577213.

Really quiet, powerful 12/3/2013 12:22:44 PM

Pros: It's really quiet when I start up my computer. Love the Diablo 3 mouse pad it came with it!

Cons: Slightly weaker than MSI twin frozr gtx 670 stock but overclocks better. I'm not sure if this is a con but it did not include a VGA to DVI or the DVI to HDMI but no biggie, I won't be needing that.

Overall Review: I got the last one before it was discontinued on 12/1/2013. This graphic card is somehow far quieter than the MSI twin frozr gtx 670 which is a good thing. I returned my twin frozr gtx 670 just to get this.

Outstanding Card 12/2/2013 10:42:56 AM

Pros: Great card, runs almost any game on ultra settings. Uses a lot less power than the 700 series cards so using this card with a 450W power supply works quite well.

Cons: Nothing stands out as a Con
