Question 1

What is the difference between this model, and the one on Asus's website? The first thing that stands out is the one on Asus's website has three fans, instead of two. What else is different?

ASUS has different several models of the cards based around the same chipset (RTX2080 in this case). The STRIX cards have 2xHDMI and 2xDisplayPort and 1xUSB-C whereas the Dual series have 1xHDMI, 3xDisplayPort and 1xUSB-C. The fan configuration is also different so in theory the STRIX card may run a bit cooler but the dual fan is very capable. The STRIX cards require 2x8-port power connectors and the DUAL cards are 1x8 and 1x6 so slightly less power hungry. The DUAL card is also slightly shorter (10.5"/26.8cm) vs STRIX (11.8"/29.97cm) so if you have a smaller case the STRIX may not fit. They are both wide cards to accommodate the heatsink. While I'm waiting on the Strix version: If I would use a display port to HDMI adapter on this card, would I still have HDMI 2.0 compatibility?  I use this in my living room with a 4k tv and VR. I need two HDMIs for that and don't want to loose my 4K HDR bandwidth.

this is more of a question about the adapter you will need to buy to go from display port to HDMI 2.0. I do have a adapter from Display port to VGA and it works great.

I like how the product's title specifies that it's the "overclocked edition," but they're apparently still not allowed to list the actual boost clock frequency... and is it just me or did some of these 20-series cards have clock speeds listed a week or so ago, only to be removed later on?  Probably "nSecurity" on the part of nVidia, over the fact that the clock speeds that were listed were slightly less than those of their Pascal counterparts and therefore they were afraid this would make people think the new cards were slower.  Lol.

I am getting 36.5MH/s on Eth and 365 on SIA.

What does USB C do for a graphics card? does it work just like display port?
