Question 1

Won't take a charge! Even when running while plugged into a wall outlet the low battery power flashes then the unit shuts down. The owners manual leaves a lot to be desired including how to access the battery but my guess is that's a way they to void the warranty.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Unfortunately, I have not experienced the problem you are having. My only other suggestion is to upgrade your OS to Kitkat 4.4.2 which is available through ASUS notifications and OTA.  I did mine. That may make a difference and mitigate your situation. Good Luck.

Can to OS be upgraded?

Definitely.  I have OTA upgraded mine a month or so ago to Android KitKat 4.4.2.  Look at your notifications.  It should be listed there that it is available.  I have had no problems with it so far.  Crossing my finger.

This storage space can expand to 128gb correct?

Yes up to 128, i have 32 gb in mine though.

Recurrent issues have been reported about connectivity between the tablet and the keyboard dock for units may through at least November 2013.  As there are no reviews for this bundle yet, can you supply any information about whether this has been rectified for this batch (e.g. when did you receive them)?

I bought my tablet may 6 as an early birthday gift and i can assure you the issue has not been completely rectified.  It still has some play and disconnects at times but its not as bad compared to the previous batch before may.
