Yes The ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 Gen5 Card is able to support RAID functions across different CPU platforms. For ultimate flexibility , unused CPU PCIe lanes can be assigned to storage to create a bootable RAID array with up to four M.2 SSDs.

can i have 4@ 4tb drives and no raid?

Yes, assuming your motherboard supports PCIe Bifurcation (4x4x4x4). I have two of these cards in a ThreadRipper 7960X each with 4x4TB SN850X (WD Black) and they work without any RAID controller. I did, however, put them into a storage spaces pool (all 32 TB) and did a 1+0 setup for reliability.
