Pros: Picked this up as part of a mobile workstation for a long trip I'm taking, definitely fits the bill as a very portable no-clutter solution to a lack of screen real estate. I was worried the response time was going to cause problems but as of yet I haven't seen any ghosting. It's REAL simple, no fancy buttons or settings, on windows 10 you can change the contrast with its program, been having trouble getting the same contrast slider on win 7. The case that it comes with has a hard back and front with segmented pieces that fold to close it; I don't feel uneasy about putting it in a bag with my laptop. Currently when I'm on my home machine I use a usb 3.0 extension cable and use this monitor in portrait mode as a third info display/document browser/YouTube screen while my design programs occupy the other two.
Cons: It was a little difficult to set up, not enough to sub an egg but worrying nonetheless. The CD included was useless for win 10, I just manually downloaded the driver and utility for it. I didn't bother trying it on win 7 and skipped right to downloading it. Strangely after clicking on the driver and watching it go through its motions, flicker all my screens, and then disappear it actually didn't install and it was only after half an hour of fiddling with it that I realized I had to install the drivers again to get it to work. (I think I had a 3d program open at the time and it caused it to abort the installation.) The cord is (perhaps appropriately) short. Fine if it's for a laptop, frustrating if you're trying to use it on a desktop. 3ft isn't far enough, but with another 3ft extension I was JUST able to get it far enough. Only other complaint I have is that the "stand" takes up a lot of space and worries me... It works fine and I can appreciate the little cloth stopper to stand it up proper, but there is no way to angle it. Also you best have a cube of space as big and wide as the screen cleared off your desk because there is no way to slim the profile of the stand, even in portrait mode. Speaking of portrait mode, I'm constantly worried that I'm going to bump into my desk and the whole thing I'd going to flop forward and break or topple off the desk since there is nothing but an unadjustable amount of gravity keeping it from doing so.
Overall Review: Realistically if I were so hard up on the stand I can just pick up a tablet stand and use that when I'm at home. One odd thing I noticed is that it comes out of the box with its brightness setting at about half, so you really need you turn it up after you get it working. Also it definitely feels like a 15" screen, so if you're used to 17+ get ready to feel squished. It's still 1080p but the screen width in portrait mode makes it literally read like a piece of paper. Overall I'm very glad to finally have put down the money to get a proper portable screen though.
Pros: Lightweight, doesn't add a lot of extra weight when traveling Clear good picture. USB 3.0 powered is a nice feature. Easy setup and use.
Cons: Screen could be brighter. Needs more back lighting. Case/Stand could use work. As a case is great for protecting and carry. As a stand, not so great. Would be better if stand was built into the chassis. Does require high amp USB for power. Anything less than 1.5amp will not power the screen.
Overall Review: Overall great product. Could use some minor improvements, Works great for business traveler as a second monitor for multi-tasking. Useful also for a desktop as an additional monitor. I would not recommend this one for gaming though. Best used for desktop applications
Pros: Runs 100% off my laptops USB 3.0 Ports. HD video playback is smooth. Light and compact design. Comes with Carrying case that doubles as a stand.
Cons: The USB 3.0 cables that come with it are a bit short. Not as bright as my native display. Slight lag with mouse movements. Would be nice if they had a built in adjustable stand rather than using the carrying case.
Overall Review: I do most of my work from my workstation, which is a monster full tower computer with 5 LED displays. I do web development and graphics from my main display, and then use the other displays for websites, file browsers, FTP, and my email client. However when I travel it was absolutely killing me to only work off my laptops native display. I desperately need to add multi monitor for on the go. I was skeptical in buying these after reading the other reviews that said they were not bright enough, or lagged. I was also concerned with if I could run two of them at the same time. I bought 2 of these hoping for the best and I was not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was my house cursor didn't seem to be as responsive as on my native display. My native display was instant, but these there was maybe a 10ms lag. It doesn't affect my work, and is not anything that causes me stress, but it is noticeable. The brightness and color were also a bit off. The brightness is just a little less than my Sony Vaio's primary screen, but everything is still very easy to read, and the contrast is good. Color wise, I have my background set to a windows Blue color. The color on these looks more greenish while my native display looks more bluish. I have yet to figure out how to do color correction on these to get them to match up. Not a big deal, unless you are doing graphics which need accurate color representation. The carrying cases are nice, but I really wish the displays had stands built into the back of them. Using the case just seems a little flimsey. A little background on how these work. I was concerned about trying to run video via USB ports, but it seems these displays have their own GPU built in, and this takes much of the workload your CPU would normally have to do for external displays via USB. I was also worried that I wouldn't be able to run 2 of these on my laptop at the same time. My Sony Vaio is a little older running a 3rd generation intel i5. Only one of the USB 3.0 ports is rated for charging. Fortunately both of these displays use the standard 900mA power from the USB 3.0 port, and I was able to use both of them at the same time with no issues. I tested some video playback on them too. running a 1080p60 at 28 Mbits, played relatively smooth with almost no lag. This was with Full screen play back. When reduced to a smaller window it was flawless. The biggest surprise was when I tried the monitor on my USB 2.0 ports, it still worked. It seemed just a tad brighter on USB 3.0, but still very doable on USB 2.0 ports. Is there room for improvement yes. But from a functional standpoint, they are excellent.
Pros: Light Works with USB2 as well Nice case It is very thin so you can easily have it in your laptop bag. I would like to have the stand somehow built it to the monitor but that would just increase the overall weight. The stand is acceptable for the monitor. Lower brightness means you last longer on battery and you can adjust it with buttons on the side.
Cons: Needed driver even with windows 10. For some reason I can't get the auto turn to work. Not a big deal for me.
Pros: I really like this monitor package. There is only a very flat and thin display panel, a cable, and a case. That's why it is so great to travel with - compact and lightweight.
Cons: I know it's tough to get a USB connection in such a small package, but it would have been nice if the connection was a little less fragile. After half a year, the monitor failed and needed a repair - it was covered by warranty, though and came back good as new. (The ASUS repair process left a lot to be desired, though - but I'm not going to ding the monitor for a corporate problem.)
Overall Review: Once you figure out how to use the case as the stand, you'll appreciate it. The display panel has no built-in stand or levers or connections for a stand which keeps the package thin. All you have to do is put the case down on the table with the larger flap open down on the table. Lift up the top of the case and fold the flap from the top part of the case down and tuck it under the first plastic tab. Then simply place the monitor against it and tuck it under the second plastic tab. For good measure, you can fold the larger bottom flap over and velcro it in front of the base of the monitor. Once you have done it a couple of times, it takes only a few seconds to set up and does not fall.
Pros: Setup on Windows was nonexistent. Just plugged it in and all the drivers were found / downloaded automatically. Lightweight, crisp enough display. Still working well after 2 years.
Cons: It was a little more involved to get set up on a Linux distro, but that's the nature of the beast. Using the case as a stand is a little tricky and requires some extra desk space
Overall Review: Bought this so I wouldn't be limited to a single display while working while traveling. Fits in my laptop alongside my computer. I only use it for programming, but it works perfectly for that. I'm considering purchasing another to go along with it.
Pros: - lightweight - easy to connect, was plug and go - just make sure your USB plug can handle video and power
Overall Review: I bought this to have a second monitor with my laptop! Works great. It was exactly what I needed and was like brand new in the box!! I can't wait to order a second one. Make sure our laptop can handle both video and power.

Pros: Much brighter than my MB168B+, I used this screen to watch a movie, the MB168+ was too dark Beautiful picture Good viewing angles Works easily via a USB port on my Yoga 3 Pro (Windows 10) I downloaded the driver from the ASUS site before it arrived, plugged in and it worked immediately: https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/MB16AC/HelpDesk_Download/ I highly recommend the widget utility too, rather than trying to change settings with the buttons on the monitor. The screen rotation worked automatically too, no setting changes required. It really is pretty Overall, very pleased with the monitor. Yes it is expensive and I keep thinking it is a touch screen like my laptop, however a very worthy upgrade from the MB168B+ and for road warriors like me, worth the money.
Cons: Minor cons really: Although some people have complained about confusion with the smart case, I had no trouble using it to support the monitor. I agree the instructions are lame but it only took a minute to work out the different configurations. The included pen is good for the wow factor but it is not as stable as using the case. I do worry the case won't be enough to prevent accidental screen damage while traveling (which happened to my MB168B+ - hence why I bought this monitor) so I am looking for a low profile padded case for it too. The profile is slightly longer than a 15" computer so a standard 15" neoprene case won't work. It is a glossy screen, not matte. So is my laptop screen so I am used to it. If you really hate the occasional glare with a glossy screen, this won't be any different.
