I have 2 of these boards with compatible CPUs and memory, but neither will POST video.  They get power, but they do not post video.   Anyone else have an idea?

Depending on which CPUs you got they might not support the integrated graphics controller. I ran into this issue as well. Asus has a list on their site of which CPUs support it. The best and cheapest course of action would be to get a cheap pci express video card. Most CPUS doesn't have good return policies.

Question 2

I'm looking to build a data acquisition pc for test purposes and I want to fill all four expansion slots with add on cards (USB/Serial/Parallel ports) b/c hubs are causing me isolation problems so I don't want to add a GPU. Does this require me to purchase an e3-12x5V3 with integrated graphics?

I would suggest that trying to configure the system without the ability to see what you were doing, would be a bit of a challenge.  One option might be to configure with a graphics adapter temporarily included... add some type of remote access capability (i.e. LogMeIn, VNC, etc)... and then remove the adapter.  The other (better in my opinion) option would be to purchase a processor with onboard graphics.  See the Asus processor support list on their website for help on which processors to select from. Does this Motherboard require ECC Ram or will Ram that is not ECC work in it as well?

Question 4

On page 2-28 of the Manual, It states: "When ASMB7-iKVM is installed, set to pins 2-3 for correct sensor information of the Platform Environmental Control Interface (PECI)." I looked on my ASUS P9D-M that I just bought and I don't have those pins available. Does this mean my board is incomplete or incompatible with the ASMB7-iKVM?

I'm sorry I can't answer your question. Still building server.  I've just tested to make sure everything works. My project is incomplete. Kvm I installed it not tested. I checked out Asus website before I purchased it. It should tell you if it is.

Question 5

What is the availability of the mini-ITX version of this board?   i.e. Asus P9D-I ?   It's listed on the Asus website but I can't find it anywhere

I couldn't either. It is practially not available. Thus, I went with the ASROCK E3C224D2I and am pleased.
