Will this take 7th gen processors like the i5 7600k?

Yes, this motherboard supports all 7th gen Intel Kaby Lake processors out of the box.  Have personally built 2 systems with this board and the 7400 and the 7500.  However, you  wont be able to overclock the K skus (7600K 7700K) because this is a B200 series board.  If you want to overclock the K sku processor you will need a Z270 series motherboard.

Question 3

From what the reviews say there is no Display port. Does that mean there is none out of the D-Sub, DVI-D, and HDMI that is said to be there? This may seem like a dumb question; (but its not really clear to me).

Hi Sonny,

When they say there is no DisplayPort, they are referring to a specific type of (lowercase) display port that happens to have been named as such. This particular board does have a DVI, HDMI, and a VGA port built into it.

It doesn't have one. The USB-C doesn't drive DP on this motherboard either.

Does this board support 8th gen Intel processors like the i7 8700k? I am planning to build with an I7 7700 but i want to know if i have options for upgrades down the road...

8th gen intel cpus require the z370/b350 boards, so no, you are not going to be able to upgrade to a coffee lake processor. Also this board does not support cpu overclocking.  You would need a z series board to accommodate overclocking with an k sku cpu.

Although, it says that the M.2 slots support X4 PCIE mode. It doesn't specifically say that it supports NVME type SSD drives. Does it support NVME SSD Drives? Does it support NVME SSD drives as a boot drive? Thanks in advance.

We are using this board with NVMe drives and they are ALL configured for booting.  It was a no brainer.  It just worked.  Just make sure the NVMe drive is supported by ASUS.  Our Samsungs were actually NOT on the list, but they worked anyways.
