The card I got is definitely one of the better cards that slipped through the cracks of binning and didn’t get slapped with the top oc edition and charged more for. My is stable at 1500mhz core 9000mh

Pros: Way better performance then the 1050ti/1650 at a little bit more but about the same performance in most games as a 1060/1660 some games the rx 580 beats them easily. You get that at a cheaper price compared to the 1060/1660. I’ve found the drivers to be quite easy to work with once you figure out the layout and updates have gone quite smooth for me. I’ve not need to use ddu at all while using an amd card can’t say that for nvidia tho. I’d recommend buying this card even off the used market cause I did exactly that about 4 months ago and have no regrets.

Cons: I don’t really have any. Power consumption is a none issue imo. I’m not mining with it and I can’t possibly game 24/7 so my power bill wasn’t effected enough for me to notice a difference.

A Overclocked BEAST!!!!

Pros: - It is an amazing graphics card that handles 1080p gaming flawlessly on max settings, i have not tried it on any other resolutions but i'm pretty sure it's a godly performance regardless!
- Beautiful rgb lights that I keep white by default to match my build
- Came overclocked but i tweaked it some more to squeeze out more lovely frames
- Runs pretty quiet and outperforms the gtx 1060 any day out the week!

Cons: No cons whatsoever!!!
Although it is a pretty huge card, so make sure you have enough clearance for it in your case! (doesn't affect me cause i have it paired with the Corsair crystal 570x which is a pretty spacious mid tower)

Other Thoughts: 10/10 would buy again if the price is right, cause i see it's been fluctuating!
I would also recommend this gpu to anyone that's looking for a solid and graphic intensive capable graphics card without breaking the bank.

Great Card if you can get it on sale or used

Pros: -i like the design of the fan shroud and backplate
-I love the heavy, bulky, chunkyness of it, to me it makes it feel more durable and hardy, like it'll last you a while if you take care of it
-The RGB
-144hz & freesync **if you cant get 144hz to work your doing something wrong. you either aren't using a display cable (hdmi only goes up too 120hz), your monitor doesn't have freesync or cant go up too 144hz, or you dont have it enabled in your settings on both your pc and your monitor.

Cons: -This is one of the more expensive 580s out there, for just a third fan and a bit of an overclock. IMO i dont think its worth $300+

Other Thoughts: I did buy my card used and was having heat issues at first. At idle it would sit at 50-55c and during game play would go up to 85-86c, it also got up to 90c in one particular game and shut my computer down. the person who i purchased my card from let me take it apart to change the thermal paste and changing the thermal paste fixed the problem. im now running at 30c on idle and 60c in game. i didn't want to put this as a con because my card was used but did want it noted for those of you buying it new you'll have to change it out in about a year or so because the stock thermal paste is horrible. it came off in big chunks and was super dry and crumbly. To think this card isn't even 2 years old and is already having this issue really makes it seem to me that the stock thermal paste is garbage. Also don't be afraid of the tamper sticker on the screw or "void if removed" stickers in general, those are now illegal in the US and WILL NOT void your warranty.

Exactly what i wanted

Pros: Super fast, handles max settings on every modern game ive played lately
Cool LED lighting effects
Very quiet fans and always stays cool and quiet throughout my gaming.
Fits my corsair carbide spec-01 case perfectly, i was a little worried about the length.

Cons: Large and heavy, had to add a little rubber tab to support it otherwise it sags and looks like its going to break. make sure your case has enough room for it because it is very long.

Other Thoughts: I love this GPU and ive been waiting forever for it to come down to a normal price (thanks cryptominer jerks....) If your thinking about buying it you wont be dissapointed, its a pure quality product

Outstanding GPU for 1080p Gaming!

Pros: I'm not sure where my wife purchased this ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 O8G from, but I'm posting my review here as I personally love shopping on Newegg. My wife purchased this GPU as it was the last component needed for me to complete her build a year ago. Since then, this GPU has ripped through any game she has played at 1080p ultra and always above 60fps. That's including all the new "Tripple A" titles. Definitely a huge upgrade from an Intel I5 2500 and an Nvidia GTX 470. She's extremely happy with the purchase and I'm happy as well. Happy wife happy life!!!!

Cons: Since I've built this computer for her and added this GPU, my wife hasn't made me as many sandwiches. Also, dinner has been up to me to cook. But hey! I actually do enjoy cooking!!!! Always have!!! Truthfully no sarcasm.....
Tried this GPU on my 1440p setup and it does well with the games set at a mix of medium to high settings. Properly tuned, it will game at 1440p and hover around 55-70 fps with compromises. 4k well that's a whole different story......

Other Thoughts: She's also able to stream her games at 1080p30 using OBS and AMD encoder. Although in order to do so; VSYNC needs to be enabled within games and frame locked at 60 for her streams to look clean and smooth, otherwise there would be a little bit of "choppiness" and some screen tearing going through her streams but not her games.
Wife's Build:
Asus Strix B350-F Gaming Motherboard
AMD R5 1600x CPU (Stock)
Corsair H110 AIO
GSkill Flare X 3200Mhz 16gb (2x8Gb) CL14 (XMP is enabled [had to play with manual SOC offset V] SOC set to 1.05v)
ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 O8G Gaming
Samsung Evo m.2 2280 NVME 250Gb SSD (OS and Apps)
Seagate Fircuda 1Tb SSHD (Gaming)
Seagate Barracuda 2tb HDD (libraries and storage)
Corsair CX750M PSU
NZXT S340 Elite Case (matte black)
A lot of RGB fans and RGB strips to make look like unicorn rainbow (puke).

update to "works well, heat managed, satisfied"

Pros: Still gaming strong.
I put it to work mining while I'm away for reasons and it just sits and counts numbers all day at 48°C with the fans kicking on ~ every 30 seconds for about 15 seconds.
Samsung memory
27mh/s isn't the best but I game with it so no custom bios or drivers (up vote if I'm doing it wrong here)
Underclocks and undervolts well.
Memory oc up to 2350mhz (9400mhz) on 950mv

Cons: It's heavy
It Sags a bit (fishing line fix)
I can't get clock past 1450 mhz but I haven't pushed voltage either.
There can be a quiet murmur when it's working or mining. Really such a small sound and definitely not a deal breaker but I noticed it and I want to be discerning with my review.
Make me a sandwich!

Other Thoughts: Putting this in X-FIRE. I know it's hit or miss but I can use the extra Mh anyway and high framerate 4k gaming with freesync is too tempting.

I disabled the lights because I'm into sleep and dark rooms more than impressing the cat.

Build upgraded to :
ryzen 2700x
Asrock x470 master sli/ac (great board)
Gskill ripjawsV 3200 cl16 ddr4
This gpu
Msi rx580 armor crossfire ($295.00 on 6/5/18)
Water cooler
ugly and expensive noctua case fans
Watch eth prices and buy in a dip.
10/10 would recommend
