Is the on screen display adjustable or just diplay only CPU temps?

The 2" Livedash OLED display can be used for personalization, which suggests it can show more than just CPU temperatures.

What makes this motherboard so expensive? whats the big highlight on it?

Asus uses Military grade Components and top of the line capacitors. This Motherboard will last for many years.

Is there a cooling kit we can buy, specially built for the board?

no. there is a kinda hybrid mono block(EK-Quantum Momentum VRM Bridge) you can buy. but most intel waterblocks should work with the cpu but if you buy the EK-Quantum Momentum VRM Bridge you need to have or get a Intel-socket-compatible EK-Quantum Velocity CPU water block. but it is a solid motherboard would buy again.

Is liquid cooling required for this motherboard if you do not intend to overclock?

No. It is a "hybrid" VRM cooling solution thereupon. You can use it as is, or add liquid cooling later. It doesn't heave fins though for air to pass through them and to cool it thus, but it is more solid because it is made of a solid block of copper? so it would take longer to overheat--you gain some you lose some with this type of cooling (unless you use liquid to cool it.) You should be fine on air with it though. You only 'need' liquid cooling for extreme OC and for extra quietness when OCing, because cooler VRMs would draw less current from the power supply, which means the fan in the power supply would work at slower speed, which means there would be less noise from the system. Overall this is the sweet spot for OC ASUS fans for decent VRM amperage rating and best features stuffed board of them all, even better features to price ratio than the extreme one. This board has DSP built in--that Mr. Trumps it all. No other board has it all like this one does.

what kind of power supply should i get for this motherboard?

Any modern ATX12v/EPS12v with the appropriate power capacity for any additional hardware you intend to use should work fine.
