Can anyone tell me what the 6 pin under the 24pin atx connecter is for ? I see some builds are using it and some are not ?

It's an additional and optional power port for the PCIe slots. You probably don't need it. From the manual, "The PD_12V_PWR connector provides additional power for your PCIe X16 slots. To support 60W, please install the power cable to the 6-pin PCIe Graphics Card connector (PD_12V_PWR) else only 27W will be supported."

im guessing this supports Intel 13th gens as well?

It does support and is 13th Gen intel CPU ready. However, If you want to utilize the full capabilities of a 13th Gen, the z790 series of motherboards is encouraged.
