Will this run on my 80+ Gold Corsair 550W or am I in for MORE money in this upgrade?

You should not buy this. It's a good buy but hold off and get a 30 series instead. You'll spend literally half of the price and get the same (Or up to 100% increase!! in performance.)

Having said that, I'm not sure that this would run on a 550W and you should probably be looking to upgrade that.

what's the difference between this card and the o11?

The 011 version has a faster boost clock speed. It comes slightly overclocked from the factory. Look at the boost clock speeds for each to see the difference.

Why are there 3 versions of this card. 11g - A11g and -O11g. 11g and A11g are 'overclocked to 1560' while the O11g is overclocked a whoppping 100mhz more? the FE version of this card OC's to 2000 mhz no problem so it's laughable that this is a markup .

The cards come with a listed overclock to give an incentive for customers to buy the product with the higher number. Usually, the higher end you go the better binned chip it is. Board partners bin each of the chips they receive to determine where they fall in the line up. Generally, you buy a board partner model to get increased out of the box performance, and more overclocking headroom. A card like this can hit 2.1ghz. If the mark up doesn’t make sense to you, feel free to buy the cheapest model you can find. That mistake is a choice you are free to make on your own.
