Did not have any problems

Pros: Set up is easy.
Great BIOS.
Great buy for a TR4 motherboard

Cons: So far none.

Other Thoughts: I really don't see why people whine about the Foxconn socket. Is true that you must put a little pressure to thread screws 2 and 3, but is not much. My Foxconn socket worked without a problem on the first boot. Everything worked great. People just whine too much about little details.

Manufacturer Response:
Dear David,

Thank you for sharing for your experience regarding our product. We value your feedback. It is unfortunate that your motherboard was dead on arrival. Please try taking the motherboard out your computer case and put it on a non-static test bench and put in the essentials which are : one stick of RAM, CPU, PSU, and a GPU and see if it posts. Let me know if this helps. If you still need help with processing an RMA, you can contact me at cl-justin@asus.com, or to speak to an ASUS live support agent 24/7 at http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat. I'm here to assist our customers with our products and dedicated in bringing a resolution to all issues that they may come across. Your case for reference is # N190472735

Thanks for choosing ASUS

Justin

This motherboard and the manufacture is garbage. [EDITED]

Pros: it's pretty when it actually works.
-EDIT-
The board was doing some ridiculous things like dropping the voltage to keep the CPU alive... I thought for sure the motherboard had lost it's mind but no it was protecting the CPU from a semi-failing water cooling.

Cons: If you didn't get a DOA motherboard wait a couple of months. The first one I got was DOA and the replacement worked for a few months and now it's dead. Tech support is a joke. This tops off just before I bought a Asus monitor and straight out of the new unopened box it had a seriously DEAD pixel right in the middle of the screen. Tech support told me that it was the "suitable amount of dead pixels" from a brand new monitor.
-EDIT-
The board wasn't dead but for some reason I have not had good luck with water cooling pumps with this board. This maybe kind of my fault...but kind of poor design. The PWM for the pump is at the opposite end of the board of where the CPU is. With it being a EATX your pump cable is probably not long enough. Not sure if this is the problem but I was sticking the pump on the CPU OPT connector and setting it to constant. Is there a difference in the pulse from a fan vs a pump? My 3rd water cooling in I guess what has been a year... but this last time, I made absolutely sure the pump cable was long enough on the new pump to reach the pump PWM connector. REALLY poor design choice on the board. Plenty of room for it by the CPU connectors. But I guess they designed this for people who have a block separate from their pump maybe.

Other Thoughts: Asus USED to be the hallmark of quality. Now they are just the peddlers of junk. Save your money and avoid this brand at all cost.
-EDIT-
I look like an idiot but I will own this misunderstanding. Hopefully the review is useful for others. I'm used to the motherboards just letting the temp red line and die. Rigging the voltages to be able to keep going weirds me out. The placement for the pump PWM is horrible IMHO. I can't be the only one too lazy to mess with the DYI water cooling rigs.

Terrible product

Pros: None. It doesn't work.

Cons: The first board I received, the 10GB port worked for about a day and then died.

After having to pay $50 to ship a broken board for RMA, I got a second board. It worked for about a day with full memory, now is not posting unless I take out the RAM closest to a motherboard heat sink.

I have no idea why anyone would spend money on something that will stop working after a day.

This is a terrible, awful product.

Good But Not Great

Pros: -Solid BIOS.
-Posts every time.
-Great recovery options.
-A plethora of overclocking and tweaking options. Way more than I will ever utilize but its nice know I have the option if I ever take that route.
-Nice design.
-RGB is not overwhelming.
-I have Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM clocked at 3200 with this board. CPU runs hot on load though.

Cons: -Why is this EATX?
-Vertical M.2 is a joke. Looks silly and ruins the otherwise nice aesthetic of my build. For an EATX this is a huge oversight. Would love to hear Asus' reasoning for the choice of making the 2nd M.2 vertical and what extra feature we are getting out of them making this decision.
-Foxconn CPU bracket was a pain to get closed. Even after doing the install as instructed, the top-most screw would not thread. It took a ton of patience and trial and error to finally get the thing to thread and tighten the CPU in place. This is a known issue. Goodluck.
-Only a single ARGB header. I wish there were at least two. Its a pain trying to get all your fans to route to a single ARGB header. You might have to buy extra fan controllers and cables depending on your case and setup. I'm running in a Lian Li 011 Dynamic. Plus I'm guessing it placed a lot of amperage stress on the header. I currently have 4 of my 7 ARGB fans connected to it and I'm hesitant to connect any more. The other three are connected to a regular RGB header.

Other Thoughts: The only reason I picked this board up is because I found it on sale for $250. I think $250 is a reasonable price for this board, but at regular price you get more for your money with most other boards on the market. Here you are paying a premium for the Brand and I don't quite think that premium is worth it this time around.

My build:
Corsair RGB PRO 64gb 3200
Gigabyte RTX 2080
EKWB Phoenix with sTR4 CPU cooler and 360 rad
Lian Li 011 Dynamic

Look elsewhere

Pros: Asus quality and reliability

Cons: Missing m.2 slots
Missing x16 pci-e slot
EATX for no reason

Other Thoughts: I agree 100% with Sam A's review. Between this and the Asrock Taichi, I'd choose the Taichi. There is absolutely no reason for this to be an eatx board. Even with all that extra space Asus still manages to leave off two m.2 slots (I'm not even gonna count the vertical one) and one x16 slot. Why, Asus? What is the point of having threadripper's 64 lanes if we can't use them? So far in all my builds I've ALWAYS used Asus boards cause they usually had the best options. But not this time, this time I went with Asrock. The Asrock Taichi only has one flaw, in my opinion, which is the missing front panel usb3.1 gen 2 header. But I can live with that. The missing x16 slot and m.2 slots on the Asus, I cannot.

Great motherboard - very stable for me.

Pros: Running this with my 2950x. I have had no issues with this board, it's been very stable and very easy to work with. There are a ton of options in BIOS that I have never touched, and honestly have no idea what to do with!

Cons: None

Pros: ASUS in my experience has been a reliable brand.

Cons: the order arrived in an open package, and I am applying for return for the product. What I bought was supposed to be new, I am very disappointed in Newegg for shipping a used product, I am requesting RMA for this order

Other Thoughts: This item was shipped in an open Package without the seal from the manufacturer
